1.
2. Economies of scale, Abs. Just because something works at the individual level doesn't mean it will work on a larger scale. TBH, I used to think as you do... because I hated Econ classes and didn't pay attention as well as I should have. Then I went back and started reading up on the subject. Debt actually has its place in making the economy run correctly. It's really about how you manage it.
3. FOMO... keeping up with the Joneses... the list goes on....
4. You know that I'm not at all about forgiving student debt
5. Don't get me started on that POS
2. Do you believe the US Govt.........and it's many, many expert economists that have been around for years........are doing a bang-up job at managing debt?
3. That's the grooming of consumers. I remember when kids weren't even part of the equation........now even the kiddies have to have name brands and the latest tech.
4. I would love for you to lecture kids in America, the way you do me, on why they're foolish to expect student loan forgiveness.
5. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, now I gotta ask about that POS

What items on this list of 20 did he "deliver on"?
And please don't talk about the economy that he inherited and took credit for at his inauguration.
You, me and Krugman and Reich can debate economy til the cows come home.......... I'm just curious why Barack's economy didn't really kick in for the 8 years he was in office? And why he himself said it would take a Magic Wand to get the GDP up to where Trump got it? Why didn't he say "I've sprinkled enough fairy dust, it should be taking effect within the first year or so of your administration."?
Small 'c' conservative stuff, not big 'C' Conservative crap the GOP loves......(Illegal workers and more and more military)
He got about to enforcing existing laws regarding immigration. That alone helped the Unemployment numbers. THIS is a big reason I believe he got more votes from blacks than any other Republican in recent memory.
Actually trying to bring the troops home. Remember how BOTH parties joined forces to be outraged at such a suggestion?
When he first got in, he asked every dept and agency to give him a report on how to cut 10% from their budgets, eliminate wasteful spending, etc.........and then he left a ton of govt positions vacant as he felt they were not necessary in the first place.
Now, I know the Establishment and all those depts/agencies failed to deliver back on that request......... but he was a little busy for 3 years dealing with Russian collusion. Just as they'd planned.
Demanding that our allies actually pick up their share of the checks we were writing.
Backing up Israel like few have recently and delivering on that old promise of moving that embassy. I'm sure you've noticed how things have suddenly heated up over there? Why didn't that happen when Trump was in office (as the MSM so often predicted it would)
Putting America first, for the most part. I know, I know globalists like to pretend it's not fair to think that way and we should be sacrificing for everyone else........but I'm sorry, I feel every country should be looking after itself first and foremost.
Now personally, I could absolutely have done without all of the tweeting, the obnoxious celeb fights, the religious rhetoric (whether it is now real with him or just part of his schtick) but in many ways, just listening to the haters howl kinda made it all worth while.

I'm talking about rioting, arson and looting........not the 'peaceful protests' that most people engaged in during daylight hours. They were fine......but the media running cover for the rest of it.....and then declaring that half-assed mosh pit on January 6th as some sort of attempt to overthrow the Govt? Ya gotta be kidding me. How many lethal weapons did they have? How many of the 500+ politicians faced imminent danger? Now go tell that to the cops and other people that were inside the fenced off areas in those other major cities........while criminals showed up with weapons, molotovs and grinders trying to break in and get at them?
I could argue the entire campaign in all of those locations was being choreographed and funded......... didja not see the U-Hauls with pre-printed signs? the loads of bricks?
But some schmuck with a buffalo hat and face paint is supposed to symbolize some highly coordinated attempt to overthrow democracy? pffft He's just an ass-clown wanting his 15 minutes. Nevermind the fella wearing Trump gear egging people on at the Capitol that day that had been tied to BLM protests several times before. Who's been funding his field trips? And bail?

1. Are those damn lefties trying to claim land by imminent domain to build their damn wall? Those fuckers!
2. It depends on the type of stock but it's not really a partnership either way. Partnership has more to do with liability and equity.
yeah, what a travesty that almost never happens to build a school, a highway or several other Govt approved structures. Private property is the cornerstone to a lot of this country's success and advancement........and without actual borders, how can any nation expect to continue to exist? From your own body, to your home, to your community.......it all extends outward about having the right to protect yourself.
2. Well, I think we'd be able to come to some sort of happy middle ground on that subject.

4. You just want to see more riots on TV, don't you?

1. It took longer than I think it should have but it didn't take 8 years Unemployment: 2009.... 9.9% Obama takes office 2014.... 5% (natural rate)
2016.... 4.7% Last full year for Obama. Unemployment rate cut in half from 2009
2017.... 4.1% Still living with Obama's economy, but Trump weakens the dollar 2018.... 3.9% First of Trump's economic policies finally finally take hold
2019.... 3.5% Trump's economy lowers unemployment by ~1% vs Obama's ~5%
2020.... Don't have exact figures yet but they aren't going to be good
2. What laws did he enforce? Were there no detention camps during the Obama years?
3. And he could have done that at any time during his 4 years but he waited until the election year. And let's not even talk about how he handed Russia the keys to the Middle East and condemned a long-time ally (the Kurds) to destruction.
4. Yet he never cut the 10% and he left positions vacant because doing his job interfered with his news-watching and tweeting time... and telling all of our secrets to the Russian spymaster.
5. He demanded it? Oh my. Did they do it?
6. "Where did Hamas get all of those missiles?", I wonder. Russia by way of Syria perhaps? Russia's puppet is out of the WH. What better time to make the Dems look bad?
7. And when Obama put "America first" language into the Recovery Act, the GOP slammed him for being "isolationist."
It's sort of like how the GOP loved RomneyCare but somehow hated it when Obama co-opted the program to become the ACA. The Dems hated RomneyCare but loved ACA.

1. And I'm betting that the folks with the bats, guns, and Molotovs were NOT the ones released.
The seditionists at the Capitol were quite clear about their motives: to stop the democratic process.
2. I'm sure that there were definitely some more nefarious types... on both sides... just to round out all the "fine people"

1. And yet so many of those individuals who voted for Trump and cheered on building the wall balked when the government said, "We need you land to build the wall you want." I guess they'd rather patrol the border themselves so they get a chance to shoot some illegals.
2. I might be willing to allow for S corps, but that's about it

2. You filthy optimist!
3. I also hated being poor......it's the foundation for many of the decisions I make as an adult. It's what floors me about those that repeat the same mistakes over and over again.
4. No. Not at all. I like problems solved.
5. That does not inform me better on why you feel she's a POS. Now, I happen to think she's kind of attractive in her own way........but her politics? Blech
