many people believe there's NEVER a 'good enough reason' to kill others.
I love when they say gun owners or even police should be better trained.........but then parents had 18 years to train their children not to be daft thieves......and often clearly failed.
So it was OK to kill Ahmaud Arbery in the name of making a citizens arrest?
In today's current atmosphere........ I think they over extended themselves.
Yes, he was trespassing repeatedly. Yes, he was likely looking to steal. And? You've spotted him before, you know who he is or what he looks like.......report it to the cops. It's not like it was him breaking into YOUR home.
But would I throw the book at these guys with the most serious of murder charges? Nope. They went overboard........and so did he. it took 2-3 to tango there.

So you KNOW he was looking to steal? That he was just looking? I have said my husband would probably be the type to look. God knows he would drive by fires ahead if ambulances & fire trucks

did you KNOW what the Defense argued?
Defense attorneys claimed that Arbery’s criminal record stretched back to 2013. The most crucial insight his criminal records show is that he “used running or jogging as a cover to commit crimes.”
The defendants’ attorney Robert Rubin pointed out that Arbery was even known as the “jogger” due to his pattern of dashing into convenience stores, stealing, and running away. In addition to this, Arbery was on probation for two crimes.
The first crime was due to carrying a handgun onto school property. The other crime was for fleeing police. His criminal records also show two separate police encounters in which Arbery threatened and cursed at officers.
This evidence is troubling, as the jurors may have decided the case differently had they not been aware that Arbery frequently used jogging as a cover to commit crimes.
While vigilantism should not be supported, these blocked criminal records call Arbery’s “innocent jog” into question plus shouldn’t all Americans receive access to a fair trial no matter the crime?
The exclusion of this evidence definitely points to the filing of an appeal, which means that this case is far from over.
==================================
IIRC, he was caught on that same property beforehand and told not to return. So not nearly so innocent as the narrative would suggest?
You've also mentioned that your husband (may he RIP) was also prone to skirting the rules/law when presented the opportunity.

of course........NOW you're willing to admit both genders are willing to lie?
Satan or not.........there does seem to be this general impression that the US is becoming more and more immoral
You think the Illuminati are alone in that? I remember Putin being accused of bathing blood of sorts, too ........but it was some deer antler powder or something.

What're you looking for here? A great example of WHY it's important to arm yourself? To not trust in the Govt to be there for you every second of the day?
Such brave neighbors........they called multiple times.........but didn't go out themselves? And the same types criticize the police for being too rough and abusive?

NBC 7 Investigates has learned this is not the first time police have been called to Connie’s home. In fact, Chambers was not even supposed to be near Connie. A judge ordered Chambers to stay away from Connie as one of his probationary terms for a vandalism conviction in 2020.
================================================================
Yep, after looking for more details........it sounds totally familiar.
Didja see she was a volunteer who helped others? And that's likely what led to all of this?
I'm laughing at the two-sidedness of the media here, too. Cops are too aggressive. Cops kicking in doors and shooting people/mentally ill types in their own homes...........and then AFTER a murder like this "WHY didn't the police just go in?" Well, again.......where were all the caring neighbors? Crouching behind their blinds? Hiding in their closets?

Cops staged in the parking lot for 45 minutes before knocking on the door, getting no response & leaving. It wasn't his home. If they had busted in, she may have still been alive. He had a long history. Name isn't familiar, but the face is so I may have seen him in the office. The guy was a stalker. They had the ability to see his criminal history Sorry. Fell asleep. I had that, remember? Some gal called my parent's phone. It's just a few bucks to get info off the internet Ever Google your name to see those address places? It's like $5 to just get the phone number. But community treatment over institutions You mentioned crime. Don't think the increase coincided with the mentally ill turned out on the streets? But if she had a gun! No chance this dude could wrestle it from her! The neighbors called 911. It's the cops' job. They stood in the parking lot for 45 minutes. Knocked on the door, got no answer & left. All their response times are over the desired time outside the prime call of 7 minutes. The further down it goes, the longer it gets to double the desired response time

Cops need PROBABLE CAUSE in order to just go into someone's private residence. How are you NOT fully aware of this? I know you're willing to give up all of your privacy and rights for the promise of security.......but the Constitution hasn't quite given up the ghost completely yet. They CAN'T just bust in. Criminal cases get tossed when the Rules are broken.
According the their computers, that was the address they'd dealt with him multiple times in the past.......so to them, it looks like his home address. But even if they knew he wasn't a resident there.......when they arrived, no answer, no cries for help, nothing. Why didn't all the neighbors come outside before they left instead of just watching for that hour or two?
So she and her neighbors dealt with this lowlife for 2 years and NONE of them thought to get a gun? protect themselves and their neighbors? In Cali? Where the Govt bends over backwards to serve the homeless and the Illegals? How nutty are these people?
Crime goes up and down. It goes down when you enforce laws and take the problem people OFF the street. It goes up when your favorite kinda politicians get their way.
He was banging on the door.......then he broke in. You telling me even YOU couldn't have had your loaded gun in your hand and just waiting prepared for that break in?
The Courts have already told you it is NOT the cops job to 'protect and serve' you 100% of the time. When crime is high, calls get prioritized, too. Repeat Customers? They get pushed down the list of urgency, as well.
Check your local police depts. How are they doing staffing? Here in little tiny GB and Brown County, they've been running short. They can't get qualified applicants anymore. Someone I know just retired from the job after 30 years. He had to compete with over 600 when he got hired in the 90s. Now? They have less than 25 applying........and most of them won't pass the tests.
Add to that what your faves have done to the morale of police departments across the country. You think they're gonna risk their necks, their pensions and their jobs for every call? NOT a chance.

Clearly THAT is the wrong approach. I'd have killed the SOB and solved that problem once and for all.
And no doubt, you, the media, his loving caring extended family would have criticized me for doing so after the fact.

How about go in the broken glass door? Or if they didn't want to climb up to the second floor balcony, bust down the front door seeing the sliding glass door was busted? Didn't suggest a crime happened?

We're assuming they knew of/saw the broken door.
But climbing up to see if it's broken? That's asking too much these days, sorry.
Again, where were the neighbors? The one that saw him climb up and break it especially? She could have pointed it out....climbed up and verified it was broken for them. Nothing prevents her from doing so, right?

The 911 call. SAW HIM IN THE APARTMENT So they knew. So now it is the job of the neighbors to play police officer?

Given all of the rules of evidence/discovery and the newest attitude toward police in general? YES!
They didn't KNOW a thing. They had someone make a claim. You could make a claim someone sped thru your neighborhood........but unless the cops see it themselves or the person admits to it directly, they can't do a thing.
WE handcuff the police........and then wonder why the criminals act so brazenly these days? The flipside of that is allowing the police to get away with too much abuse of our rights. And I'm sure you don't want that.

No comment on the Michigan woman killed because the judge would take give her a protection order?
Hey, celebrate.
August 2022 trials for a January 2021 incident? Hmmmmmm.
Twisted tea proves it was Antifa? The DA is shooting for harsher sentences than the January 6 crowd is getting? Hmmmmmmm.
Keep telling you it is up to the local courts to go after those rioters you keep moaning & groaning about.
