How about you stop denying the good done. That is the game. Set up the board. Set the rules. Someone will always look for the loophole they can squeeze through
Sorry, can;t do it. Not with all that I've personally seen and read about.
It's just plain too corrupt a thing at this point. The little bit of temporary good that is done is far outweighed by the corruption. My opinion, anyway.

So... 49 out of 145 Founding Fathers owned slaves so is that a high enough percentage to damn them all?

I don't damn any of them........ because I'm not using today's standards and beliefs to hold people in the past accountable.
Why not tell me how successful J.K. Rowlings has been since existing off of welfare for years?

Why not tell me how successful J.K. Rowlings has been since existing off of welfare for years? So she should have been thrown out on the street to die? I thought you appreciated people who pull themselves up by their bootstraps Or does that only apply to men?

She still had a vagina, no?
Odds are she wouldn't have been on the streets for long unless she really wanted to be there.
Good for her, I say. She's an example NOW of someone that has likely paid far more in taxes than she ever used. Total anomaly.

From Reddit
If boosting a cashier to a living wage will raise prices, why don't stores with self check outs lower prices?

more than usual?
Should? It's their body, their choice. I'm just stating I have more respect for the prostitutes and gold diggers of the world.
I do? Because I expect the exact same from them as men when it comes to being responsible?

Because the Costs to operate have already been established or even risen and opting for check out machines is simply a less expensive choice than employing a person?

When they automated the switchboard, the director said a human in most instances will provide superior, more accurate service. The machine is cheaper. You call in, ask for a number. If I know it off the top off me head, the whole call was maybe a minute or 30 seconds. Now people call, they get the recording that takes 5 minutes to explain the system, then you have to select the buttons until you narrow down to the Department you want. So a minute to speak with me was replaced by a cheaper recording that wastes 10 minutes or more of your time. Because the recording doesn't get vacation time or sick leave or healthcare or a pension. Enjoy your waste of time to gain smaller government. Did you notice in the new jobs report that government jobs were again down around 70,000? Just like last month when a similar large drop in government jobs reduced the number of private sector jobs added? And once more, the Original estimate was low. Everyone had a cow over HOW HORRIBLE the September Job numbers were 194,000!!!! Biden sux! Oh, but the number was actually 118,000 more jobs. Plus the government jobs lost offsetting the total. So if democrats are so Big Government, why are the losing so many workers?

Have you called a service line lately? You're lucky if it isn't rerouted to India
And many companies, including govt, like the longer wait times because people just give up
There's no such thing as smaller govt anymore. The Establishment won't allow it. Why is the Pentagon still so full? And they wanna hire 80,000 more IRS agents?
Biden does suck. The people pulling his strings suck even worse.
Because they paid everyone to stay home? Give it another few months for those monies to run out on them. Heck, prisoners bilked taxpayers for $Billions of those funds, you figure they're not riding high on those funds?

I'm not sure why that's so confusing?
Capitalists support making money and lowering your tax burden as much as possible.
But supporting various forms of welfare? You figure that's high on their list of priorities?
Found this for you:
Proverbs 3:9: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Genesis 26:12-14: Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
Ever notice how the truly wealthy can often afford to fund all sorts of charitable causes?
I know I'd rather give directly to things I believe in rather than trusting the Govt to spend that money.

How big was the house? How much did it cost to feed and raise a child then?
How much was the cost of an apartment back then?
Of course living and raising children is easier as a couple than it is as a single person.
Things to consider before deciding to have children these days, huh?

Just an FYI: My grandparents had 16 kids living in a small cape cod style 2 story home. My current home is probably at least twice the size of that home.
The entire back yard was a garden that the kids were expected to harvest from.
Clothing consisted mostly of hand-me-downs.
And they struggled greatly........ and that was before my Grandpa died relatively young......leaving his wife alone to raise their children.
