NBC News After the Colorado Springs attack, LGBTQ people are furious at the rhetoric targeting them Jo Yurcaba Tue, November 22, 2022 at 6:42 PM
Elizabeth Pixie is angry.
She’s angry that her friend Daniel Aston died in a shooting at Club Q. She’s angry that she had to move to Colorado from Texas because she felt unsafe as a trans woman there. And she’s angry with people who have spread anti-LGBTQ rhetoric online — some for years — leading up to the shooting.
comments:
9 hours ago Well I and many people, are enraged as well, at how lgbtqias are blaming straight people for this, when one of their own did it and a straight guy stopped it. They never take responsibility for themselves and that’s a major part of why this happened. None of it was due to the first amendment or people disagreeing with them.
12 hours ago moved from Texas to Colorado. didn't get hurt in Texas, big trouble in Colorado. how to puzzle that out.
1 day ago Whatever happened to just being tolerated and accepted? Why are we constantly bombarded with this propaganda for these people? Seems like it's having the opposite effect than intended.
10 hours ago No doubt demonizing a certain group of people promotes hate and violence but in this particular case i think the shooter was totally dysfunctional anyway. Confused and fustrated about his own identity so he lashes out.
3 hours ago Remember when the LGBTQ wanted to be left alone to live their life? They no longer want that. They now want everyone to defy all common sense and logic to go blindly along with everything they are pushing. You can stand in the garage, drink gasoline and bath in motor oil for all I care, but you cannot proclaim to the world that you're an actual automobile, must be referred to as one, and force people to go along with it. The rhetoric they are complaining about is common sense and logic, nothing more.
11 hours ago From what I read, see and know, LGBTQ movement often foster hate toward those who choose not to support them. They often create an adversarial relationship, trying to foster their belief, lifestyle and outlook on people who just want to be left alone. They are involved in politics and social media, try to isolate, cancel or bully those who do not support them. I have nothing against LGBTQ people but I resist their efforts to conform me to their way. I am sure I am not alone on this.

You don't think they have a right in general to be angry at the rhetoric targeting them? There is an absolute hatred in this country for anyone not a cis white male.
Meanwhile you have right wing media telling cis white males they're the real victims and a lot of them are stupid enough to believe it.

Do you think the attorneys got anything out of him? Or are they playing games? His favorite swear according to neighbors is "fa***t" He apparently posts on an anti gay 4chan board.

That's not "right wing media." That's just a fact and it's why we were burdened with Dimwit Donnie for 4 years: You can only whip a dog for so long before it turns around and bites.

We got Trump because the DNC stopped representing the people and sold out to corporations decades ago. People got disgruntled and fell for the grift of a reality TV show host.

I'm sure very little will make any sense.
It's a great swear word. My co-worker uses it all the time.......of course, he is one, so apparently it's OK.
Maybe his whole beef was with himself?
Dad certainly wasn't much use in the parenting department.

EVERYONE has a right to be angry. It's a chicken/egg argument
And very few truly want equality.......they want payback

You left out the GOP in that, too
Donnie delivered, or at least tried to, on several key things.

That's the BS excuse I get from many that support Democrats. "At least they care and tried to help." despite decades of failure in areas where there has been one party rule.

Who is us?
The people looking for more and more from the Govt? at other peoples' expense?
What part of smaller, less expensive Govt doesn't make sense to you? More money in your own pocket? Which you could spend, or choose where to send it directly in a charitable way?

Well, then you're well aware that those who supported Trump's actions in Govt are totally fine with 'f'ing over us' if it finally gets what they voted for all this time?

Most of his voters were not voting for him to give trillions away to the super rich. A few were of course.

You couldn't be more wrong..........especially in your chosen terminology. It's not 'giving away' money. It's allowing people to keep more of their own money.
The 'giving away' comes from all of the welfare and handouts we're currently burdened with. Y'know...... like EBT, housing, rental assistance, student loan forgiveness, and on and on and on
