Most of his voters were not voting for him to give trillions away to the super rich. A few were of course.
You couldn't be more wrong..........especially in your chosen terminology. It's not 'giving away' money. It's allowing people to keep more of their own money.
The 'giving away' comes from all of the welfare and handouts we're currently burdened with. Y'know...... like EBT, housing, rental assistance, student loan forgiveness, and on and on and on
I realize that's what the right wing propaganda is telling you, but if you look at the bigger picture it's wealth redistribution from the middle class to the super rich. And it creates a very bleak reality for more and more middle class citizens every year.

But they were always keeping more of their own money than the average person. THAT is the problem. When a billionaire is paying an effective tax rate that's lower than his janitorial and administrative staff, then we have a fucked up tax code.
"Elon paid $11 billion in taxes!"
But he should have paid closer to $40 billion. Imagine what we could get done with just that $29 billion alone... even if it were building a few more hundred miles of your precious Wall (TM).
And if keeping more of their own money was the point then why didn't it really help anyone on the lower rungs? Why do they still need EBT, Section 8, and debt forgiveness?
Because, while Elon, Jeff, et al. got to keep billions of dollars, John and Jane Q. Public only got about $600 dollars - an extra 50 bucks a month. I won't even get into how that and more was eaten up by the tariffs and just ask you - Mr. Financial Wizard - how that extra 50 bucks was supposed to get people off welfare?
Hell, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder how many people got kicked off welfare because that 50 bucks put them over the threshold and made their lives measurably worse. I could actually see Donnie's GOP touting the fact that they "got people off welfare" with their tax cuts like how China "raises millions out of poverty" by changing the threshold from $1.92/day to $1.65 per day. All those people making between $1.66 and $1.91 per day are officially no longer poor! Yay!
By the way... the average between $1.66 and $1.91 is $1.785, and if you multiply that by 30 days in a month it comes to... $53.55... about what Trump did for the John and Jane Q. Public. Dictators (and wannabes) must have a special financial playbook that they use....
Once again, you show that you only value people on what they already have rather than what they can potentially contribute... especially when those people are in minority groups.
Wait! Did I just hear you brain scream, "50% is not a minority!"?
Have you shown proof that 50% of all Americans are on some sort of assistance yet? I don't think so. But even if you did, then shouldn't the big question be "How do we create enough well=paying jobs for these people?" rather than to just vilify them for getting fucked over? Sounds like blaming the victim. Oh yeah. That's another tried and true weapon in the arsenal of the GOP bigot.
Carry on.

They do pay a lot of pennies as it is.........what're the stats? Top 1% pays like 40% of the bills? And the Top 5-10% pays around 70%?
How fast did that measly $5 Million get burned up? WASTE of money, imo

IIRC, his Ex got $38Billion in the divorce..........and I'm pretty sure she's given away a lot more money than these articles are pointing to.
But it does make the point that people who have enormous fortunes often do find ways to spend it directly on causes they prefer. I'm fine with that

Now imagine if the Feds/State Govt donated some vacant land being held off the tax rolls........and bought a ton of tiny, pre-manufactured homes instead.

L.A. County General Hospital. Problem is it's costing millions to remove the asbestos, etc. Donnie loves asbestos.

That sounds like a great idea... as long as the lobbyists for the tiny homes don't "convince" the politicians that the tiny homes are worth $800k a pop....

Not much different than the lead paint issue. The Govt knows exactly how many places need remedying........what's the hold up? Not enough volunteers? Not enough tax revenue?
Better to keep kicking the cans down the road?

How much "remedy" could Elon and Jeffie pay for with the taxes they dodged?
