The older I get, the better I get at knowing the difference between what I want and what I need.However, on occasion, I don't mind spending the money if it'll get me what I want. But I'm not going to just piss it away for the sake of it.

I just went out and bought an imported Honda mini-truck......only to turn around and sell it 2 weeks later after my glee was overtaken by my more rational side. The wife is still looking at me funny........ like she's next.

Um... yes, of course it was.  How's that gonna help? I don't live in either state. Of course, if I were a serial killer, I'd hardly hunt for victims on my own home ground... That'd just be silly. You don't shit on your own front doorstep. |

I suppose that depends upon whether or not you can get a decent trade-in price...  Although I've heard the newer models are even more trouble than the older ones... and you have to start from scratch with the house-training. It's okay, I'll see myself out.  |

Besides, with just 6 states and 10 - 2 major - territories, the odds weren't too unreasonable. However, I was actually born in Victoria, but I've lived in multiple Australian states during my life. Gotta keep ahead of the popo... |

A fellow student in my year once brought a firearm to school with him. I believe it was an air rifle, although I don't know how many people could tell just from looking at it. He lent out of the window of the common room and pointed it at younger students who were passing by... the police were called. When the police arrived, did he comply with their orders or did he take a shot at them. I'm guessing that even in Oz, the latter option would have proven bad for the kid. Apparently, a 16 year-old was shot and killed by a Maryland State cop for playing with an air-soft gun yesterday. A shame he didn't go to school in Oz... he might've lived long enough to graduate.  |

Is it possible for an advanced and - seemingly - intelligent species to devolve? How long before we end up back in the trees, swinging around... and not in the fun way they do in the middle-class suburbs...? |
