2022 strikes again... John Hamblin, 1935 – 21 September 2022, AKA Funny John or Naughty John, was an English-born Australian actor and children's television presenter. He was a well-known actor of stage and screen who appeared in numerous soap operas and made-for-TV films. He was best known for his 29-year stint presenting children's program PLAY SCHOOL, from 1970 to 1999 and the drama, THE RESTLESS YEARS, from 1978 to 1981. As one poster on YouTube said, "This man raised a generation of Australian children." I'm very pleased and proud to be a member of that generation. Requiescat in pace.  |

Figured she was your type. RIP We also lost Robert Brown who played the eldest brother on Here Come the Brides. David Soul & Bobby Sherman were the other brothers. Joan Blondell was on the show as well. |
