But two months (or more) of fucking around and doing nothing left us with exactly those choices.
Maybe the man should have taken his job seriously in the first fucking place.
He sure screwed up those other 200+ countries, too

Why is it always this idea that people are "avoiding" rather than just trying to find the best job?
I'm the type of person that believes working a lesser job in the meantime to finding the best job is a better situation. At least some money is coming in.
Even if it's less than what unemployment pays?
Even if it's offering no benefits... like health insurance?
Even if you have to fork over half of your first paycheck to pay for your union application fee and first month's dues?
Even if you have your 6-month rainy day fund to tap into?
I've been on unemployment three times. The first two times, I found acceptable work fairly quickly. The third time... I ended up going to China to find work.
Not everyone's situation is the same.

If you can find their 15 key beliefs, see if you're OK with them.
I like the mascot/flag.
But I can not bring myself to embrace their 'no borders' line of thinking. How do you support private property without also supporting national or state boundaries?

They're all flawed. I'm basically belonging to nothing. Lefts too nuts. Right is just as nuts. I'm just becoming the pro leave me the fuck alone party.

yes
It might sound honorable to you but it sounds fucking stupid to me.
But then I remember that you have a wife who makes about 3 times what you make and you have no kids. I suppose it's easy for you to make the decision to shirk your responsibility when you have none.

I skipped the opportunity to collect long before we hooked up. It's just not something I'd see myself doing.
Absolutely having no kids makes it much easier. Have I not been pointing that out for years? I would just ask you where do so many people get off bringing children into the world and then needing so much assistance? It's like 2/3rds or more of kids in the US are receiving SNAP now?
And if I hear the phrase "Through no fault of their own" one more time, I'm gonna vomit. Was the grasshopper not at fault after mocking the ant?
We were discussing renting/owning the other day and I totally understand when and why many would opt for renting. I do. But then when they get much older and suddenly rent is still due......who's fault is that? Did they not plan far enough in advance to provide for that rent always being due? Am I too harsh for pointing that out?

1. What should bother you is that so many children are living below 130% of the poverty line. Quick note: for a 3-person family that's a total income of about $26,600/year.
2. If we're in the produce section of the supermarket and you take the last orange, then I have no oranges through no fault of my own.
3. And a homeowner's mortgage is due for however many years. And those tax bills are never going away... or the homeowner's insurance bills... or the car payments because you bought the house so far away from where you work you need to drive everywhere. Then there's the car insurance and gas. And you as the homeowner are responsible for all of your own maintenance: a new water heater every decade or so; a new roof every 20 to 30 years. Look at those cracks in the driveway. Looks like a couple of boards on the deck need replacing and the whole thing needs resealing. Is your lawnmower in need of replacement? No? Then get out there and cut that grass, you lazy fucker. Damn those tree branches are getting awfully close to the upstairs windows. Speaking of which, the heating bill has been going up. It might be time for some window replacements. Black mold? Whaddaya mean, "black mold?" Termites? Fumigation?
Yeah. Home ownership is soooo much cheaper.....
