So you think a high school student couldn't take a gun from some of these old gals you had as teachers? So teachers should take martial arts training so you can have any & all guns you want? Was this required when you were in school? |

The whole point of a gun is so that martial arts training won't be necessary.
Some of your gun fans want teachers armed. So those frail old teachers we all have had should be armed. Think a teen couldn't plan a shooting to just take an old teacher's gun to shoot up class? So how is old man Smith supposed to keep crazy little Johnny from taking that gun? |

It's not just the friends parents know they have. It's the online crowd the parents don't know. The working class are working 2-3 jobs. They are tired. Teens are able to take care of themselves. Most of these shooters have too much time with no parental supervision. Alone in their rooms with their computers. 70s latchkey kids had TV. Computers were late 90s/00s. So the folks think the kid is fine. Maybe a bit sullen, but that's teens, isn't it. |

They probably weren't working 2 jobs when they had the kids. It's like puppies, isnt it. Puppies require more care than grown dogs. Kids require more care, then they hit school age so mom can work during school hours. Hell, remember when McDonalds pitched that work schedule to moms in the 70s & 80s? Teens seem adult enough & should be responsible. Like those 70s latchkey kids who walked home after school & took care of themselves until a parent arrived. A doctor I saw once commented he son was the worst. When she divorced her husband, the son & daughter were both teens so at a stage where they should be semi-self sufficient. Doc said the girl was fine. Got home, made something to eat. It was the son who wanted mommy to be mommy & make him an after school snack. Who says they all have phones? I held out on my kid. Computers, on the other hand, are needed for school. I had some control because we had dial-up so only 1 person could be online at a time. And I kept up with what my kid was into. |

Sorry, I just don't see people putting forth the effort to plan better BEFORE they have those kids. And kids are more expensive now than ever before.
Those latch key kids WERE more responsible......because it was expected of them and the Govt hadn't stuck it's nose in with more hysteria and regulations.
All? Don't be silly again.......but most? By the age of 10-12 at least. Don't wanna seem like you're not spoiling your kid as much as the Joneses.

Seems like a silly contradiction. If people are Adults at 18, legally responsible for themselves.......why can't they drink alcohol, smoke.........and WHY do they remain under Mommie and Daddy's insurance plan?
I have made up my mind..... they're potential humans. I still don't have a problem killing them, though. The tax implications is just one more reason our Govt is beyond retarded and inconsistent.
