Sad, isnt it?
But you say it's the gals at fault. They don't report it!
When they do, it's ignored like the Uvalde shooter

it is sad
It is a gal's fault if she doesn't report it. It's not her fault if nothing is done with that report.
Weren't you part of the group that mocked my suggestion of eliminating so many co-ed classrooms after puberty?
And just to be a bit sexist...... how many of those complaints were simply regret later?

Stick to horrible economic advise, Reich. Background checks WERE completed in the 2 biggest cases recently.

Why wouldn't 12+ yr olds attended classes with other genders? Not gym, of course. But public schools are mixed. But when it is ignored, one does tend to stop bothering. Like in Willy Wonka.

Because once the hormones kick in, guys are pretty terrible at behaving. I feel bad for the young women and feel the grades would go up without all the distractions in class.
Why not gym? If you're such a Transgender Equality supporter, then you shouldn't care if females are getting the crap kicked out of them in phy ed or sports.
I got no problem with commiserating between classes or at lunch.......but what's the big deal keep them divided during class?
Well, that not bothering just leads to other victimization. Ask the Weistein ladies.
I love that Wonka bit and use it all the time. Whenever the subject of drug/alcohol/poverty/ etc etc etc comes up. I may not agree with what people do, but they're free to do whatever the F they want on their own time & dime. Cuz I believe in their freedom/liberty.

This entire Background Check argument is laughable.
Get back to me when you're actually serious about executing Felons in possession of guns.

So where does it end?
Tulsa dude was in pain so he lashed out with broomstick.
Dude, you should want some form of gun control because AS I GAVE ALWAYS SAID, when the government steps in, there is no more negotiation.
No comment on the marine? Amount of qualifying servicemen go thru? Having to stow their gear?

Like the guy in Tulsa? 2nd Amendment rights! Dude, what was your locker rooms like? Private changing stalls? Or all together? At that most of the gals got pretty adept at holding that towel on front while they slipped out of clothes & into their gym outfit. The teacher used to bitch we all had the same stuff, what's the fuss?

2nd amendment, baby. No pre-crime, thank you.
My locker rooms were very much like most locker rooms. Filled with adolescent guys trying to establish themselves in the pecking order.
All together.
So why not go co-ed locker rooms if you're so confident in teaching everyone to behave? or trust that the transgenders won't be a problem whatsoever?
That teacher was likely a lesbian. jus sayin'

Like the guy in Tulsa? 2nd Amendment rights! Now that there's a few more details released.............
He called to complain “several times over several days,” Franklin said, including on Wednesday, the day of the shooting, when he called Dr. Phillips’ office again, “complaining of back pain and wanting additional assistance.”
At 2 p.m. that same day, Louis purchased the AR-15-style rifle from a local gun store. He took it to the hospital along with a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun he’d bought on May 29 from an area pawn shop, Franklin said.
Franklin said officers first got a 911 call at 4:52 p.m. from a patient who was having a video visit with their doctor, who told them to contact police about a shooting in the Natalie Medical Building, near St. Francis Hospital. Police arrived on the scene four minutes later. At 4:58 p.m., just 39 seconds after they entered the Natalie Building, they heard one last gunshot, which they believe was Louis killing himself.
=======================================================
So this fella was in a lot of pain and blamed the doctor for not being able to fix him.
Can you tell me what kind of Universal Background Check would have prevented this? A Waiting Period?
Once again, a handgun was part of the equation. So it isn't the AR that is the ONLY weapon of choice.

Why did he need to buy the AR? If there were a 2 week cooling off he wouldn't have either gun yet. Dude, I have told you about pain. I hate those commercials on TV. "Pain free!" My knee hurts ALL THE TIME. That's life. PATIENT "Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I (raise my arm, make a fist, etc)" DOCTOR "Then dont do that " I don't get the opioid crisis. I don't get people that crazy about pain meds, but at least some is. Like your morphine video. A coworkers kid ended up in jail for opioid. He did construction. Hurt his back. Doctor cut off the opioid so he wouldn't get addicted but his fear of the pain returning had him buying them off the street. One of my clients was in an auto accident. We got her for Doctor shopping-going to several doctors to get multiple prescriptions because she was taking more than the prescribed amount because of her pain.

He could have just as easily bought a shotgun or basic hunting rifle. Shotguns do more damage in close quarters anyway. So he'd have waited 2 more weeks and THEN did what he did. WHY do you believe a 48 hour or two week period would change someone's mind?
We have a ton of people in this country who feel life should always be Happy & Pain free. The happy part is ridiculous, of course. I am a bit shocked modern medicine hasn't figured out a way to block pain better, though. If someone is really hurting, block it by any means necessary.
I get the opioid crisis.......those same people that wanna be happy and pain free......completely ignore the odds of getting addicted. DESPITE all the warnings. And at the same time, I don't think someone like you should just be expected to live with daily pain.
It's an ugly Catch-22 we've put doctors and patients in these days. You can't even get a strong cold medicine anymore because it's all of our fault/responsibility that others decide to cook it into Meth.
Where ARE the advancements in medicine? I went thru a great deal of pain myself with that blown disc. But I hate the effects of drugs on me, so first the Vicodin did nothing for pain.......then the Oxycodene made me super lethargic. After 3 days of that, I said "Just give me strong aspirin, I need to get up and out and able to walk." Those are the surgeries they advertise as "You'll be up and walking pain free again within a few hours". It took me over a week to get upright and stable......and even then, it was with a cane.

I have never been told "as good as new". I broke my ankle. That knee is the bad one. I think it's made me walk different putting strain on the knee. Its always "better than now". His surgery was 2 weeks ago. That is still well in the land of healing. It's usually at least 6 weeks. So, yeah. He should have been blocked from buying for being an addict. One suspects the pain meds were being whittled down

That's a pretty good guess........the broken ankle made you compensate, thus stressing and adding to the wear. It adds up over time.
I thought that, too........ like he didn't give it time to heal. But the only thing might be it was severe nerve pain........and you'd know within a few days whether the surgery was successful in that regard. I had massive swelling and bruising, but the nerve pain was gone. So I knew by Day 2 or 3 it had been successful.
I'm talking pain blockers......as in a new kind of med or maybe an implant/device that could numb one 100% to whatever pain they're dealing with.
That's an olde line.......even the Princess Bride was told "Life IS pain!"
We were all warned by our elders, too. And they were a lot tougher than us, usually. We've become a very spoiled and soft culture. Fix it all with pills.
