Because the casting couch is infamous in Hollywood, isn't it? Sort of a right as seen by some powerful people. Brendan Fraser said it really messed with his life. I mean, a guy telling the world a guy assaulted him sexually isn't demeaning to the victim? Same for female victims dude. As for Louis CK So he was getting some fame & was flaunting his power. Just really strange. And reported, but nothing done? Because don't make waves. Did the Clintons know? Who knows? Look at Epstein. Surely some people who interacted with him weren't perverts. Don't people do that? Ignore a certain amount of eccentricities in the name of getting something done?
Infamous? So EVERYONE knows about it..........but nobody bothers to refuse to participate? What a buncha weak minded pussies.
Ever see the flick Gods & Monsters?? It starred Brendan Frasier...... and he's sexually harassed by a big time director played by Ian McKellen. 20 years BEFORE this attack. He couldn't refuse? He didn't immediately call the cops and press charges? Pffft
I'd have no problem filing a complaint or simply defending myself in the moment. or both.
He offered something tawdy. What action should be taken? Is it against the law to make someone an offer? And did Abby Schachner refuse to have Louis attend her show? I'd guess not. So she sold out her integrity all on her own.
What's so strange about gaining fame and power and abusing it? It happens all the time.
What can you do with a report of no laws being broken?

Apoplectic again? I did not say Bill Clinton was not a man of his era who saw his position of power/fame/etc as granting him right to have whatever woman he saw. I said people don't have these things emblazoned on them. They don't bear a red letter representing their crimes. Thus it is possible to interact with a person & not be privy to all that person's perversions. Not everyone who interacted with Epstein necessarily knew what he was up to with underage flesh. Not everyone who interacted with Weinstein knew what he was doing to those women. Look at all these neighbors they find to interview "He was so sweet! Who would think he was an infamous serial killer!" But notice it was someone from their circles that outed them. Hannibal Burris damned Bill Cosby for years. it was pretty chilly a few nights ago......... like -30 with the wind
We always get this sometime in January leading into February.
By the by, the Record High & Low here last night were set in 1914 and 1915 respectively. How interesting is that? It was about 50 degrees in late January in 1914. And then the very next year it was sub zero.
And nobody freaked out about it.  |

it was pretty chilly a few nights ago......... like -30 with the wind
We always get this sometime in January leading into February.
By the by, the Record High & Low here last night were set in 1914 and 1915 respectively. How interesting is that? It was about 50 degrees in late January in 1914. And then the very next year it was sub zero.
And nobody freaked out about it.  Go on not believing things are changing. We aren't getting more tornadoes & hurricanes. Did we even hear of bomb cyclones that often before 2000? |

The climate is constantly changing. How much is up for debate.........as is the percentage of the blame to place on humans.

About the only thing that's really and obviously changed is the manner in which it's reported on. They never NAMED snowstorms when I was growing up. It was just the latest snowstorm. But now? They wanna make it more hyped and hysterical.....like naming a Hurricane.
The whole country has been on Yellow or Orange Alert ever since the early 2000s. It aint healthy for the kiddies, if you ask me.

How can you claim that definitively? By going back a few decades? You live in a desert region......one that was only fairly recently settled by Europeans.
You don't know how many wildfires there used to be. And today's modern developments certainly provides much more fuel to burn than ever before.
Droughts are a natural occurrence ........they might not happen every 5 or 10 years.........but they definitely come around over much longer periods of time. That's why human settlements have been abandoned in the past. And certain extinctions have happened, as well. You guys have never had enough water to service your human population, which is why it's 'stolen' from other areas. So why act all that surprised when it gets even drier?
The kiddies are a buncha spoiled softies.
