2. Thank you for writing in English. Your previous post in Abbeynese was indecipherable. It's odd that a person so enamored with "responsibility" would deny the concept of anyone being "owed" since doing wrong to someone and them wanting some form of recompense is all about the wrongdoer admitting responsibility. The very core of "responsibility" IS being responsible... in all its forms. For years, I denied responsibility for a number of "ills" in the world with the simple phrase, "I never did abc to xyz," but what I came to realize later was that I also never did anything to stop it from happening nor was I doing anything to learn and understand the issues and how I could help mitigate them... if at all. Being "responsible" means learning and understanding so that one can act responsibly. Have I got it all right yet? I don't know. Probably not depending on one's perspective, but at least I'm giving "seeing things from another POV" a shot.

My thought is that the US had the opportunity to get it done right after WWII......it would have worked for at least awhile and like most Govt programs, it would have been virtually impossible to get rid of........but at least most Americans would have been appreciated and conscious of the benefit.........and as a much healthier lot back then, since govt involvement in personal healthcare hadn't already been around and growing for years, the costs would have been under control.

1. Some people are always going to get a better table at the restaurant, but at least I know that I can get the same lobster thermidor they're getting and at the same price rather than sitting at home with a can of "chunk white tuna in water."
2. Lots of people wanted it back then... until they realized "the darkies" would get it too....
3. So you'd rather increase the number of homeless and people on the dole than help them be healthy and get a job?

A total of 85% of Los Angeles's homeless people are adults without children, 70% are male, and 44% are black, even though they account for only 8% of Los Angeles residents.

2. I think it's interesting that you keep using black people as your reason to be dismissive of the truth

3. The needs? The ability to keep doing what resulted in them becoming homeless? I've seen all the PSAs and suggestions. Why haven't millions of others? I feel it's like those Menu board calorie counts. Did they reduce the obesity problem at all? ( I know, I know.....off on another tangent)
