TikTok Star John Kelly Dead at 45; Son Tex Mourns His “Hero” After “Surprise” Death Elana Rubin Tue, August 10, 2021, 5:45 PM
Tex Kelly is grieving the loss of his father, John Kelly.
Tex, who created TikTok videos with his dad John at the handle @texandjohn, which had 2.7 million followers, shared with his fans on Monday, Aug. 9 that his dad had unexpectedly passed away at age 45. He expressed his grief on both the video-sharing app and Instagram.
"You'll always be my hero dad," Tex captioned his Instagram post. "I love and miss you so much. I know you're in a better place now, looking over us all. You were an amazing father, son, brother and friend to many."
He recalled first meeting John, who is not his biological father, as a 4-year-old, and asking if he was his dad: "You didn't know what to say but soon enough you became that man in mine and my brother's lives," the TikToker expressed. "I remember the first time I called you dad, I was so scared, your face was so shocked and happy."
Tex also remembered the great impact that John had on his life: "Dad you taught how me to read, how to throw a ball, to always love and work hard, and there's so many lessons learned that I'll carry my head up high with because of you. You worked so incredibly hard so we could have a good life."
He continued that he will "always cherish" moments with John. "You always believed in me," he said. "I'm proud to say that I'm John Kelly's son."
Tex, who regularly made prank videos and sketch videos with his dad, expressed his gratitude that John was able to share his vibrance with the TikTok community: "I'm especially grateful for all the amazing memories we've created over the years and for the moments we recorded this year. Your impact was in the millions whether it was making people laugh or seeing other fathers aspire to be someone like you."
Tex concluded, "I'll never give up knowing I've got you in my corner. I love you dad, I'll see you in eternity."
The social media star began a Go Fund Me campaign to cover "hospital bills and expenses."
Atlanta man, 28, who died of COVID-19 leaves final message about vaccines Ny Magee Tue, August 10, 2021, 2:30 PM
“I never expected to be a widow at the age of 25,” Brittany Wright said.
An Atlanta man who died of COVID-19 had one dying wish — for more people to get vaccinated.
“That is his message: ‘Get the vaccine. Because I would hate for people to be like me,’” said Brittany Wright, 25, of her 28-year-old husband Braderick Wright, who died Saturday night.
Braderick was hesitant to get vaccinated, according to his wife. Brittany took the jab last month and is still waiting to get her second shot, WSB-TV Channel 2 reports.
“He was deep into Tik Tok conspiracy theories and, for him, he just didn’t want to get (the shot),” Brittany said. “He didn’t trust the government.”
The couple both contracted the coronavirus but only Braderick was ultimately hospitalized on July 30. He reportedly had pre-existing conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Brittany was able to speak to her husband one last time before doctors had to intubate him.

Morbidly obese people die earlier and are far more susceptible to dying from diseases such Covid or even the common flu.
About 7% Americans are classified as morbidly obese.
America ranks 12th on the list of "obese" countries, but 10 of the 11 that come before it are places where obesity is a cultural and genetic (maybe?) norm such as Samoa, Tuvalu, etc.

7% of Americans could easily drop dead tomorrow
Better shut some things down, right?

Do you think people can spread obesity by talking to one another?
Grow the fuck up

They can tell one another about the McRib being back in town.
Merh and others love pointing out how drug users OD......and it isn't just them being affected, but their family and friends. Well, how is any other premature death any different?
How is the Govt insisting it's gotta be the protector of it's citizens any different whether it's a virus, or a drug or cigarettes or fast food?
There are millions of people dropping dead all the time. But our attention span only focuses on what they want?
I recently heard a health expert point out that at least 1/3 of ALL Americans have a serious health issue......diabetes, obesity, etc etc AND you people insist that UHC would be a great idea for the tax payers here? Maybe wayyyy back right after WWII when most were more responsible and healthy.......but now? With the costs of health care in this place? I don't think so.

1. Mmmmm. McRiiiiiiib
2. How drug addiction affects the families of addicts will vary due to the interactive actions of the addict while they were alive. Addiction is not a communicable disease. Covid is.
3. See above. Please stop comparing personal choices with communicable disease.
4. Yup. And a lot of them didn't need to die at that time.
5. You still don't understand the concept of single-payer UHC, do you? Costs would DECREASE!
People "like me" also want to see proper health and physical education being taught in schools and I'm actually a fan of warning labels/pics on junk food packaging.
YOU say you want kids to learn life skills in school, right? You want them to know how to balance a checkbook... understand how interest works... be able to make change without using a calculator... right? I'll bet that if you owned a store, you'd be the type of guy to disable the "calculate change" button on the register just to FORCE your employees to use their brains. Amiright?
Because it's good for them. Right?
FORCE can be used for good.
It seems that YOU want to be in charge of the FORCING rather than subject to it, despite the fact that it's GOOD for you.
In the end, even if junk foods had warning labels, you'd still have the personal choice to eat them. Hell. Let's raise the taxes on Doritos the same as we've raised the taxes on cigarettes. Shovel that money right into the UHC budget. That way, the people who are getting treated for problems caused by their obesity actually paid more in than you did.
I know you're just going to nitpick, cherry-pick, and nose-pick your way to some "clever" rejoinder, but in the end you're just talking about FORCING people to die until they come around to your way of "thinking."
Not cool, dude.

Addiction is something people are willingly joining up with. Sorry, it's the truth. There's been plenty of tax payer paid for WARNINGS for decades.
understand the concept just fine. It used to work that way.......whether it was just a large group of people or the Govt, buying in bulk or offering a large group's business usually led to many discounts and savings to be found. But that's NOT how the US Govt works anymore. Everything they touch causes price increases, cost over runs and usually most of the benefits go to those enjoying the expansion of govt/employed by them.
I want to see proper health and phy ed, too. I got no problem with warning labels of the past......they should have been more than enough. But it's clear it was just another govt mandated waste of time and money.
Not sure I'd trust my cash registers to the typical kid educated in public schools today. They know all about racial issues and their feelings........but basic math? Yikes.
No, I do not want to be in charge. I'm all for people choosing for themselves.......it's their right. The part I'm opposed to is taking away all of their responsibility for those choices. You and others like you have had decades of enabling.....and it hasn't gotten better. So you continually keep doubling down. I eat junk food and drink Pepsi. That'll likely be the cause of my premature death. I'm perfectly fine with that reality........as others choose drugs or cigarettes.
It's amazing how you make me responsible for people I never agreed to adopt. FORCED charity removes all of the nobility you seem to feel it's honoring you with.

1. Yes and no. I'm absolutely addicted to nicotine, but not to any of the other drugs I've tried, or alcohol. No one says, "I want to get addicted and ruin my life. Think I'll try some heroin today."
Taking that first drink or hit or whatever is usually about wanting to ease the pain you feel in other parts of your life (or basic peer pressure) not about wanting to be an addict. Maybe if people's lives were better and less stressful, they wouldn't turn to drugs at all... or at least not become habitual users... like "social smokers/drinkers." Not everyone can see any other "way out." You can't judge everyone by YOUR circumstances.
2. You obviously don't. As an example, Medicare is one of the most efficiently run (if not THE most) government programs and it does so within budget. Thank goodness I had the baby and the bathwater ready for you.
3. Dude! It wasn't the government fucking up because they're fuckups. It was the big companies throwing huge money at them to purposely make useless policies.
4&5. You've misunderstood and misrepresenting what I said. I haven't "enabled" anyone nor do I want policies that "enable" bad behavior. I want policies that ENABLE people to have more and better opportunities. They can still make their own choices. If they continue to make bad choices, I can wash my hands of them. I've said this many times. Why do you keep acting like I haven't?
6. See? You don't like being FORCED but you sure as hell want to FORCE others to "stay in their place."

That's such a weak defense, though. Of all those noones.........how many were not aware that smoking/alcohol/drugs have possibly bad outcomes?
As someone once said "Life is pain, Princess. Anyone telling you different is selling something."
Peer pressure? Haven't they spent about the same amount of time battling that as they have drugs? FAILURE
I can judge people for ignoring the circumstances that have befallen hundreds of thousands of other people. Where's your concern for all of the family and friends of those people? At least I'm consistent.
Let's say most Americans currently have 100 opportunities. The vast majority of them ignore that and self-sabotage themselves. So your idea is to offer them 1000 opportunities at other's expense, which they will also ignore? I just do not get that thinking. People make poor choices repeatedly. You haven't washed your hands because they haven't been given enough choices yet?
6. Not at all. Let them choose their destruction.......and simply allow it to occur. I never had a problem with smokers being charged more for insurance or healthcare. The same goes for obesity. Instead of your notion of charging everyone the same (or nothing at all) and providing them with lifelong care no matter the choices they make?

2. Consistent in your hatred of anyone who doesn't measure up to your ever changing standards
3. As if we didn't read enough logical fallacies in your posts....
4. Yup. I want the government to pay my medical bills. I want them to pay your medical bills. I want them to pay your neighbor's sister-in-law's daughters medical bills.
And although you don't believe it, I think that with all those bills coming in, the government is eventually going to negotiate the lowest price possible same as you would when buying a new Prius.

You think I can get my dogs signed up, too? Vet bills and bags of dog food are getting pricey.
All I can say to that is HA! When pigs fly. I look after my own money because I value it. THEY do not look after tax dollars cuz it ain't their money.

1. Is that the argument you want to go with? I remember when the Bible thumpers said that "Gay Marriage" was going to lead to marrying pets as well. Stop interjecting even more stupidity into your arguments, Abs. They're stupid enough already.
2. And we're back to: go run for office and show us all how it's done.
