U.S. sued over conditions for migrant teens in TexasLawyers said minors at emergency housing sites in Texas have reported mental distress, substandard conditions, prolonged stays and inadequate services.

I'd be more than happy to discuss the manner in which the US fiddles in foreign lands.
But do you really think it's entirely the US' fault for the state of so many other places? Or more likely, it's the US' responsibility to uplift them all?

I think the US is a major contributor to the sad state of affairs in many Central and South American countries.
Do I think we should go in and "uplift" them? Nope. That's what caused the problem in the first place.
Do I think there are things we could do "at home" that might cause a positive shift by extension? Sure.
When you bulldoze a person's home, don't be surprised when they show up on your doorstep looking for a place to sleep. Can you take them all in? Nope, but you can admit the fact that you are responsible for their problems.

I'm sure it could be a long and contentious discussion........ a place like Panama for instance.
It's clear we pushed our way into their country.
It's also clear we ceded back the Panama Canal to them, so they should be able to become more prosperous on their own, right?

Thank you for picking them, but I don't want any cherries right now.
However, Panamanians were long favored immigrants and Hulk Hogan thanks us.
