Climate Change, Not Hunting, May Have Doomed the Woolly Rhinoceros
Now many people would look at that headline and go all Greta fussing and worrying about climate change
Whereas someone like me could just as easily chuckle and ask "So where did the fossil fuel exhausts come from back then that changed the climate so drastically?"
And that is NOT to say that I'm in denial about the negative effects that over 7 Billion talking monkeys might have....... but I sure ain't seeing the global leadership coming up with any substantive ideas on an actual fix. It's always just "Give us more money."

Climate Change, Not Hunting, May Have Doomed the Woolly Rhinoceros
a funny comment on that piece........
The true reason they all died out is that little cave boys and girls thought they were so cute and begged their parents to bring one home, and once the fuzzy rhinoceros was in the cave, the family would realize that the kids were never gonna walk them or clean up all the rhino poop (like they promised) and one day, while the kids were out foraging, the rhino magically wound up “at a farm upstate” and there was suddenly an ample supply of meat at dinners for the next month.

Climate change can have many different causes. These days, one might point to industrial pollution, but there have been many others throughout the history of our planet. The distance from the sun, the various changing phases of the sun itself, planetary collision, the planet's axis of rotation relative to our orbital plane, volcanic activity, asteroid or comet strike, continental drift, the emergence of and evolution of life... and so forth.

Absolutely! But how DARE YOU not get fully onboard and lay it all at the feet of human activity.
Here's to hoping to see a nice polar shift right about now.......or maybe an asteroid....... or just a few massive solar flares.
Meanwhile, I am fully supporting each person living as clean and non-polluting a life as possible........while being fully aware of what pigs many people actually are. No offense to pigs.

Humans have certainly played their part in climate change, but it's a bit difficult to hold them responsible if it occurred 65 000 000 years ago... although we still might be able to pin something on Bernie, Donnie or Joe. I'm betting the bank on either a gamma-ray burst or perhaps a nearby supernova... A clean and non-polluting life? Well, there goes my chance of getting down and dirty.

Nova was a pretty cool comic book character back in the day

I think this is the first time I've ever heard of him... DC, Marvel or other?
