Washington Examiner Humane, orderly? Border photos show human disaster amid overflowing toiletsPaul Bedard Thu, August 5, 2021, 8:20 AM The crush of 210,000 illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in July (the second-highest in history) has led to a human disaster at multiple crossing points, according to photos provided by the former acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “This is crazy what’s happening,” said Mark Morgan. Morgan provided Secrets with photos of several crossing points that showed thousands of migrants shoved under bridges in 100-degree heat awaiting processing, cages full of illegal immigrants, and disgusting bathroom facilities. "The White House said migrants are being handled in a humane and orderly way," Morgan said of a recent fact sheet in which the administration bragged about its border policies. "This isn't humane or orderly, and it's not the Border Patrol's fault. They are doing all they can to deal with the disaster created by Biden," he said. In talks with the agents he oversaw during the Trump administration, Morgan said that many are frustrated with the Biden administration’s open border policies and lack of help. “They’re done,” he said. What’s more, agents are so overwhelmed that calls for volunteers to help have gone out.

Yeah, but these are much nicer cages!
Over 800 Migrant Children Detained at Border in Highest Daily Total This YearZachary Evans Thu, August 5, 2021, 9:13 PM Border Patrol agents detained 834 unaccompanied migrant children at the U.S.–Mexico border on Wednesday, according to data released by the Department of Health and Human Services. That number is the highest since the Biden administration began reporting daily total apprehensions of migrant children earlier this year. The number of children in custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection rose to 2,784 on Wednesday. Unaccompanied children are typically held in CBP facilities before being transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees care for unaccompanied minors. There are currently 14,523 children in HHS facilities. www.yahoo.com/news/over-800-migrant-children-detained-021329107.html

Just a point of order... If they are being detained at known entry points, they are not "illegal" as they seem to be following the rules by arriving and applying for entry... which is legal. I'm sure that some of the detainees were caught on the wrong side of the Magic Wall, but I've heard that many of these folks cross the boarder illegally simply to "cut the line" at the legal entry points. They cross into the US then wait by the roadside for BP to pick them up. It's not the smartest move as it relates to the endgame, but it does get them into a facility with food much quicker. As for the author's comment about "open border policies," he's obviously an idiot. If the border was "open" there'd be no checkpoints or detention facilities, but what should we expect from the Washington Examiner?

point of order...........since the latest administration is simply ignoring the law and 'fast tracking' this flood of people....... then what does legal/illegal even mean anymore?

Which laws are being ignored? Is it the airfresheners dangling from their caps?
Let me help. I'll even write in crayon to help you understand:
"Legal" means they are following an established protocol.
"Illegal" means that they haven't.

Of course, I remember a few years back when Trump cracked own hard and reminded everyone exactly how much power the US president has over immigration. I remember you Trumpamzees telling the "libs to "go cry in your safe space" because "the constitution gives the president "total power" on immigration!"
Sucks when the shoe is on the other foot, doesn't it?
Do you need me to re-type that in crayon as well?

it does suck. You surely remember those 4 years of wailing, crying, teeth gnashing and hysterics, too?
And THAT was actually one of the things Trump delivered on better than the last 5 presidents before him ever did. It achieved a growing economy, the lowest employment rates and a major decrease in the amount of illegal border crossings. The message was clear, you won't be allowed to stay, so just go elsewhere or stay home. NOW? 7-10 times the amount of people are just pushing their way in? What a country! I'm sure this is exactly what the majority of voters wanted, don't you think?
The fact that many are bringing in new cases of covid just puts a big funny cherry on top of this shyte sundae.
