"Fear"
"Intimidation"
"Retaliation"
vs
"That old dude just sniffed my hair"
If you can't see the difference, then you're legally blind. Get thee to an ophthalmologist.

You left out "swam in the nude in front of female staff"
As if any of this is allowable under today's #MeToo standards?

Have any of Kessler's "unnamed sources" ever been revealed?
It seems to me that Kessler has a bit of a bad reputation for not doing due diligence on fact checking.
However, if Joe likes to swim in the nude in his own pool, at his own house, that's Joe's business. Did he do it only in front of female SS agents or male agents too? It seems to me that after the first time he did it, the AIC should probably have told the female agents ahead of time for all future protective details.
I think I also read something recently about Joe liking to walk around the WH residence wearing only a robe and I think I read that he asks the agents to stay on the other side of the door when he does.
And call me crazy, I can't help but think that Joe's the kinda guy who would announce his intentions, as in, "Ladies, I'm going for a swim and I don't wear swim trunks. Call in the guys or turn your backs." That seems more like Joe to me... even though I left out the rambling story he probably told about the first time he went skinny-dipping and so on.

One thing that bugs me about this entire Cuomo business is the #MeToo way they're going about it and trying to pressure hi mto just quit.
Does that make everything all better?
If they did an investigation and found evidence of actual crimes.......where's the official charges that others would be facing?

That's all you got?
It doesn't bother you at all?
I get how many He said-She said cases just can't be proven........ I've argued with so-called feminists about it for years. But again, this particular case they actually spent a good deal of time and money on an official investigation, right? They weren't some small town, cash strapped little podunk police department?
But people just expect powerful (and possibly corrupt) people to just step down because they've collected enough unproven sob stories?

and more somewhat funny stuff........ Letters to the Editor............
Los Angeles Times Opinion Letters to the Editor: If Andrew Cuomo wants to survive, he should become a Republican Fri, August 6, 2021, 5:00 AM
To the editor: If I were New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, I'd change my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. After all, what could it hurt? ("Will Andrew Cuomo resign amid latest sexual harassment allegations? I doubt it," Opinion, Aug. 3)
More than 74 million people, including a strong majority of evangelical Christians, were OK voting for a philanderer who was recorded boasting about grabbing women by their privates. He also allegedly cheated on his third wife shortly after their son was born — with an adult film actress, no less.
This man got elected president as a Republican. Cuomo, who was found by the New York attorney general to have sexually harassed women who worked for him, could do no worse.
Lutz E. Moeckel, Garden Grove
..
To the editor: As mob boss of Chicago, Al Capone stole hundreds of millions of dollars and killed dozens of people. The politicians and police were in his pocket, enabling his reign of terror. The federal government finally put him away — not for racketeering, corruption, thievery and murder, but tax evasion.
As governor of New York, Cuomo contributed to the pandemic death toll by forcing nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients who had been released from the hospital. He stood by his decision and hid the actual death counts.
Yet, he remained a media darling even as allegations of his bad behavior mounted. Public outcry after the New York attorney general's report may finally take him down.
Tax evasion and, in Cuomo's case, sexual harassment should be appropriately punished. But, let's not fool ourselves into believing those were the only contemptible things Capone and Cuomo did.
Hal Bookbinder, Oak Park

I generally go with my gut and my gut isn't telling me anything on this issue right now. I've heard some very generalized accusations - which are bad - but which don't give me a sense that "it definitely happened" other than the general "men with power act a certain way" thing.
Understand?
So, until I start seeing something a little more concrete, I'm going to defer to the prosecutors.
This may sound weird, but it's OK to NOT have an opinion.

That's usually where I don't bother commenting.
Update: Apparently someone did finally get around to actually filing charges. Good luck wit dat, I say.

heads are rolling......but not Guido's? Axios Time’s Up chair resigns after reportedly aiding Cuomo effort to discredit accuserJacob Knutson Mon, August 9, 2021, 9:51 AM·1 min read Roberta Kaplan resigned Monday as chair of Time’s Up, an organization established to fight workplace sexual misconduct, after an investigation found she was involved in New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's effort to discredit a woman who accused him of sexual harassment, according to the New York Times. Why it matters: The report from investigators appointed by the New York attorney general found that Kaplan reviewed a draft of a letter that "denied the legitimacy of [ex-Cuomo aide Lindsey] Boylan's allegations, impugned her credibility, and attacked her claims as politically motivated." Stay on top of the latest market trends and economic insights with Axios Markets. Subscribe for free The investigation found that Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, including employees in his office, in violation of state and federal law. Cuomo has denied all wrongdoing. He now faces criminal investigations in three jurisdictions, an impeachment investigation in the state Assembly, and wide-ranging calls for him to resign, including from President Biden. What they're saying: Kaplan, who founded Time’s Up's legal defense fund, said in her resignation letter that she could not answer questions about her involvement with Cuomo because she is a practicing lawyer, according to the Times. “I therefore have reluctantly come to the conclusion that an active litigation practice is no longer compatible with serving on the Board at Time’s Up at this time and I hereby resign," the letter reads. www.yahoo.com/news/time-chair-resigns-reportedly-aiding-145136205.html?.tsrc=fp_deeplink

Will there be a follow up video made by these celebrities? NY City is a very fickle place......... Cuomo resigns: Cynthia Nixon and other celebrities react to resignationAfter Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation, Mia Farrow, Alyssa Milano and other celebs shared their thoughts on Twitter By Tyler McCarthy , Jessica Napoli | Fox News Celebrities were quick to disown New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo following his resignation on Tuesday amid a sexual harassment probe. "The best way I can help now is if I step aside," Cuomo said during a press conference in which he both announced his resignation, effective in 14 days, and laid out what he sees as the accomplishments from his time in office. The governor started his press conference by saying he's "deeply" sorry for any behavior deemed inappropriate during his time in office but denied the sexual harassment allegations. The surprising move from the man who was the state’s Democratic governor since 2011 came after New York Attorney General Letitia James concluded that Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women in a 165-page report released last week. Since then, the man who was previously heralded as a possible Democratic candidate for president has faced calls from the left, the right and Hollywood to resign. Shortly after he tendered his resignation on Tuesday, stars quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter and denounce the Democratic governor. Actor Alec Baldwin wrote, "Regardless of what you think of Cuomo, this is a tragic day. Party politics in this country draw ambitious but ultimately isolated, even socially maladjusted men and women who, given the current cancel culture, will likely have their shortcomings exposed and magnified." Actress Mia Farrow said, "Cuomo will resign from office," and then promoted her son, Ronan Farrow's, investigative reporting. "Charmed" alum Alyssa Milano was on top of the breaking news, "Cuomo is stepping down putting his Lt. Governor in charge, effective in two weeks." The Daily Show with Trevor Noah joked, "New York has successfully flattened the perv." "Cuomo resigning! What an amazing day," said Antonio Sabato Jr. "Frozen" voice star Josh Gad said, "There are seemingly two playbooks for the modern politician: Democrats who do wrong must apologize and step down. Republicans who do wrong must go on tour, raise money and continue to break laws and decorum while staying in office." What led to Cuomo ultimately deciding to resign? Video Comedian Andy Richter quipped, And like… ---ing clockwork, Cuomo's blowing up my phone trying to get booked on my podcast" "Sex and the City" alum Cynthia Nixon penned, "A man who hires and promotes known sexual harassers is a man who condones sexual harassment. We knew this about Cuomo years ago. It should’ve never required 11 different women to come forward to finally acknowledge how fundamentally unfit he is for the highest office in NYS." Back in 2018, Nixon announced she was running for Governor of New York as a challenger to Cuomo but lost in the primary. "This is a good day for New York. This is the start of accountability, but more needs to be done to keep women safe. That means prosecuting Cuomo to the full extent of the law. And it means moving forward with impeachment, to bar him from running for statewide office ever again," she continued. George Takei from "Star Trek" added, "Today proved that Republicans and Democrats truly can put aside their differences, listen to their voters, and come to happy agreement over Governor Cuomo’s resignation." www.foxnews.com/entertainment/andrew-cuomo-resigns-celebrities-react
