So many thoughts.....
The Betsy and Tucker, the movies, come to mind when it comes to auto makers and killing innovation.
The Big 3 have been notorious for churning out mediocre crap........witnessing what the Japanese did to them in the early 80s was a sight to behold.
Speaking of Japan, it's my understanding that they do implement a form of mandated obsolescence..........so people are forced to take vehicles off the road there, which leads to some very tasty used vehicles. (IF ONLY the USA made it easier to import the darn things)
Do you remember thinking the same about the Everlasting Gobstopper? Willy Wonka didn't care about profits.
