Florida Man Who Kidnapped, Raped, and Killed 11-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Prison Marisa Sarnoff Jul 27th, 2021
from the piece..........
“I feel so let down by the system because Joseph Smith was on parole before he got to my daughter and he was supposed to go back to jail for five years if he violated,” Carlie’s father, Joseph Brucia, told local station WTVT. “He did violate. He was quote passed out with a bag of cocaine in a parking lot. Instead of them giving the consequence that they said they would, they gave him drug offender probation, which is just semantics, and that’s why my daughter is not here today.”
“Then they drag this thing on from 2005 to 2021 and still going and it’s not even done yet,” Brucia added. “So, I have a lot of venom and disdain for the criminal justice system.”

That actually sounds interesting as it goes to the concept of "socialization."
It might also show that Florida just attracts a certain type of person. I wonder how many racists moved to Florida in 2012 (and after) looking for an opportunity to "stand their ground" against a black person....
That would be an interesting study indeed.

Jesus.
It's like you've got Rissa speaking thru you sometimes.
Was your time in the Boston area THAT riddled with daily racism non-stop?
I had a total of 2 black kids in my entire K-12 experience. Both adopted. Both very nice people. In fact, we probably had more 'native' Americans by a big margin.

That was the same "busing" that many career politicians like Joseph Biden supported, right?

Ideas can look sound on paper but fail upon implementation.
Sort of like saying, "ALL men are created equal" then implementing a government that only sees a certain group of men as only three-fifths human.

Absolutely. Most collectivist ideas sound wonderful......then you involve people and it normally goes to shit in short order.
Absolutely true. I understand why they backshelved it in order to get all 13 Colonies to cooperate at the time......... but it certainly was inconsistent with the ideals of the abolitionists and the wording. Thankfully it laid the groundwork.
