I learned it at school, obviously, but I've never used it. I prefer to print when I write.

Really? interesting No signatures on anything?
Do you think that should be the requirement for school lessons? A great likelihood that the students will actually use something in the future?

I do not consider a signature to be cursive writing. It is a separate thing, all by itself, as it can come in many forms... including an "X", a thumb print, an eye scan and so forth.

I can see it becoming an optional lesson. Perhaps linked to art classes?

Other than for the purpose of creating a written signature, I see no real need for this skill anymore outside of an art class. But when people start writing proper letters again, we can come back to the discussion.
