I want it limited to it's barest possible framework. It has some very basic functions to perform.........some of which it keeps ignoring.
But many other things should simply be eliminated.

I think what I'm saying is there's no need for ever more laws, when humans show again and again that there's always a segment of the population that will ignore them anyway.
Think of it terms of your mask debates.........IF we all know a certain amount of people won't ever behave and comply 100%..........what's the point in making everyone else suffer thru these long term lock downs that will ultimately fail anyway?
How's that war on drugs going? Anyone care to admit it's been a massive failure and the US is actually in WORSE shape now after all these decades and $Trillions spent?

But I'm not supporting doing away with a law against murder or rape.
I'm against having 57 or more redundant laws that make politicians look good and stupid people feel like they're doing something.....but in reality it doesn't change a thing. Especially when actual punishment is viewed as a thing of the past.

Because I don't feel the Govt should be involved in pre-crime. It's only after directly harming someone that the court needs to be involved.
Legalize it all. Stop passing out NARCAN, too. National healthcare is going bust BEFORE you wanna start supporting all the addicts.
If I were a betting person, I'd guess the failure rate of your clients persists even after the ACA. That's the whole point. People do what they wanna do.

I got prescription Flonaise for $5 a bottle. As soon as it was over-the-counter I was told the doc couldn't write rxs & I cannot afford that stuff at retail. So you're one who thinks drugs only affect the user? Not the family? Not the victims of crimes they commit to buy the drugs? Let them all die? The problem is fentanyl is wildly potent & it's getting put in lots of other drugs to spike potency. They can buy oxy, but it's been spiked so the buyer doesn't know. |

Fentanyl is a selling point currently........ anything newer and more powerful is what they're after. You can't stop them.
