Halle, Elizabeth, J-Lo, and others and their selfies

Seems like "the internet" is always going crazy over some 50(+)-year-old woman getting (nearly) naked and posting a selfie.

Comments usually range between:

"Wow. She looks amazing" and "If I had a personal trainer and nutritionist...."

But nowhere do I see the obvious:

That these women are promoting an unrealistic body image. By posting these pics, they are essentially saying, "Shame on you for not looking as hot as me at 53."

Why is it OK for Elizabeth Hurley to show off "toned abs" but if the Hadid sisters do it, they take shit?

Why do we see articles about morbidly obese women "being courageous" about "positive body image" right next to articles titled, "This woman lost 80 pounds and now she looks amazing!"

She didn't look amazing before? Nice going on shattering the other chick's "positive body image" by suggesting that she doesn't look amazing all of a sudden... but if she dropped 80 pounds....

And all of the articles seem to be written by women... because nobody wants a man's opinion... unless he's ripped like a statue of Adonis or has more millions than Snow White has dwarves. And then the only opinions of his they want to hear are the conditions of the prenup.

Women are petty, vain, and sexist - Duh. I know - so why is it wrong to call them on it when it's perpetually open season on anything and everything a man might say?

So many inconsistent messages today.     They can't even keep their BS straight anymore. It's like they've all gone seriously ADHD.

I just wanna go back to the hottest people being in most advertising.  Izzat too much to ask?
