..........to calling it Global Warming?
The Record Temperatures Enveloping The West Are Not Your Average Heat Wave June 19, 20216:01 AM ET Eric Westervelt Twitter

It might be tempting to shrug at the scorching weather across large swaths of the West. This just in: It gets hot in the summer.
But this record-setting heat wave's remarkable power, size and unusually early appearance is giving meteorologists and climate experts yet more cause for concern about the routinization of extreme weather in an era of climate change.
These sprawling, persistent high-pressure zones popularly called "heat domes" are relatively common in later summer months. This current system is different.
Environment Deepening Drought Holds 'Ominous' Signs For Wildfire Threat In The West
"It's not only unusual for June, but it is pretty extreme even in absolute terms," says Daniel Swain, climate scientist at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. "It would be a pretty extreme event for August," Swain says, when these typically occur.
From the Great Plains to the coast, cities are setting record temps

GAHH! Now you're just gonna piss merh off!
I liked a lot of that........while still objecting to the omissions. A recent number I saw from that area of the country was regarding water conservation....... people are using 40% less water per person. Unfortunately, there's now 50% MORE people.
1. Bottled water is a thing I can not even believe exists for every day use in this country.
2. California? Regulations? Where they support voters and rights and representation and all dat so fervently? F 'em Here's to more wildfires!
3. Bill Maher should be drummed off the air for using the term 'up the ass' to. Surely it's derogatorily offensive in many parts of CA?

He is very hit & miss so why should I care? The bottled water thing is obviously government bending over backwards for big business donors. Really? More wildfires? Should I wish more floods on your state?

But merh, aren't people free to pass on bottled water? or maybe even insist/demand that their politicians deliver on clean water out of their own plumbing?
You can. I just saw yet another person from your area thinking it was a great idea to build a great pipeline from hear to there.....to save us from floods and give you more water. Nevermind you live in a desert, though. And that's just going against Mother Nature.
