What's wrong?
Do you want the taxpayers to keep having to pay more and more, year after year to keep the beach clean?

No
I'd prefer that property be sold off entirely
If the new owners decide to keep it open, great. If not, who could blame them?
I find this to be yet another example of that persistent percentage of people who are not all the worthy of care or concern

I'm laughing, you probably won't........but in my nearby community, they just spent good tax dollars on a canoe/kayak launch with parking and lighting, etc.......but unlike the few boat launches in the area, there's no Fee? WTH? Why the inconsistency?

How much petrochemical pollution do kayaks and canoes put into the water that will eventually need to be cleaned up?
Will launching your kayak or canoe require any third-party assistance?
Can I take a guess and say that the kayaks and canoes are being made from a wooden dock while the boat launches are done with a concrete ramp? Which structure do you think cost more to build and maintain?
That's just off the top of my head and assumes that both facilities are state-owned.

Where's the fairness in result/outcome though? Animal Farm is now Animal boat landing? Pretty sure petrochemicals were used in the blacktop......and all the vehicles parking there are still mostly gasoline powered.
I didn't even say the Fee had to be the same........ just that it was odd considering the Govt loves inventing new ways to fee and tax people........but provides 'free' services and facilities to some people and not others?
Maybe I should have just suggested that kayaking is a primarily and systemically white occupation in the US?

1. Where's the fairness in some people being able to afford a boat while others can only afford a kayak? Where's the fairness in you having to pay for gas to fill up your car while the people on bikes aren't paying their fair share of the taxes that build the roads? Why don't renters pay property taxes? Is that fair?
2. See above
3. I think a lot of Cuban refugees would disagree
