First thing that popped up was virtual tin cup asking me to donate to "AmericaFirst."
I told that bum to fuck off.

There's no pulling the wool over your eyes...... maybe just the mask over your nose?

I wear a mask for a grand total of about 30 minutes a day.
And as much as I dislike the feeling of it, I do it because it's the right thing to do... with or without laws compelling me.

So, back to the editorial cartoon........ you feel Fauci is being mislabeled as a liar? He misspoke to Congress? There was no funding sent to foreign labs with tax payer money?

I actually don't care.
And neither would you if you weren't a racist.

Exhibit A comes after emails from and to Fauci — who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as well as President Biden’s coronavirus task force — were revealed via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Those emails reveal several things that should be of interest to a free press, yet most in the media are ignoring these revelations, despite huge domestic and worldwide implications. One email from February 2020 shows Fauci stating that retail masks aren't really effective in protecting people from contracting COVID-19. "The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit [to] keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you." Another email reveals that Fauci was made aware that a leak of COVID-19 by a research lab in Wuhan, China, was entirely possible, courtesy of Kristian Andersen, a professor with Scripps Research, in a Feb. 1 email.

Isn't Fauci white?
Is that how you want to play it? You want to dodge the fact that the only reason you care so much about the origins of the virus is because it originated in a non-white country?

Ridiculous. That has absolutely nothing to do with it, imo
I've even pointed out that it is the US Govt is behind this kinda research, or likely it is in the US or elsewhere, too. Would Russia get the same pass for lab leaks? They didn't with Chernobyl.
Has moving to China made you into a semi-Rissa where you see racism everywhere you look now? Or was it being around Boston so long with it's well known history of deep rooted racism?
Is that what makes it so difficult to fathom that other people really couldn't give 2 shits about the color of anyone's skin?
We're ALL cousins....... so race don't play into it for me. And remember, I'm not too fond of hanging with people in general, to include my own family and cousins

I think living here has given me a lot of perspective. These people are racist as fuck. But it's not all based on skin color per se. A lot of it is based on decades and centuries of being told how awful westerners are... and experiencing it to some extent.
Are you going to tell me that Americans haven't been affected by decades - well over a century actually - of anti-Chinese rhetoric and blatant racism? Toss in 70+ years of anti-communism and it's no wonder that the average (mostly uneducated) person in the US is going to want to see Chinese conspiracies everywhere?
"You lost your cat? Did you check the Chinese takeout joint? Herpaderp. Akilk."
"Your widget finally broke after 15 years? It's probably just some cheap shit made in China! Herpaderp. Akilk."
"It's probably some knockoff from China. Herpaderp. Akilk."
"The Chinese probably stole the idea from someone else. Herpaderp. Akilk."
Someone posted a video of an Indonesian woman eating "bat soup" IN Indonesia from 2016, said that it was from China in 2019 and that racist talk coalesced into, "Sicko Chinese eating bats caused Covid! Herpaderp. Akilk."
There happens to be a BSL4 lab in the city where the outbreak "started" and all of a sudden its, "They engineered it in a lab and tried to kill us all! Herpaderp. Akilk."
I'm not even going to bother adding in the racist expletives that accompany those comments either, but you know you've heard them and, like it or not, I believe that you have used them.
As to Russia, if the outbreak had started there, most certainly would have tried to blame Russian incompetence, but then you would have seen Trump sending all sorts of help to his butt-buddy, Vlad, and you Trumpanzees would have defended it as "international cooperation" just like when Trump offered aid for the Siberian wildfires while withdrawing funding to aid California with their wildfires.
Here's the thing - which I've said again and again - even IF the virus was man-made and accidentally escaped the Wuhan lab, the deaths in the US are still on the heads of Trump, his administration, and his supporters. The Chinese people had nothing to do with it.
This is where you say, "When I say 'China,' I'm talking about the government not the people," but as pointed out earlier, 100+ years of racism against the people really starts to blur that line.
Is China a perfect place? Hell no! But I can tell you that every time a Chinese person (or person of Chinese heritage) is attacked in the US, it just gets trotted out as proof of why they should hate us: not the specific individuals doing the crimes but of all of us. And since they can't tell an American from a Brit, Canadian, Irishman, or Aussie, it simply deepens the hatred of anyone who doesn't look like them.
I'll say that again: American racism is used as proof that THEIR racism is valid.
If we're supposed to be so fucking exceptional, then we really should start acting the fucking part.

I still believe that's an important distinction to make. I do not blame the people for what their Govt gets up to......especially over there, as opposed to here.
Notice, too........those attacks on Chinese were not being trotted out all that often in the media here........UNTIL expert Fauci & Co actually started to be criticized and questioned. He's handled this even worse than he did that little AIDs thing, imo
There is no perfect place where humans are involved. Now do you see my viewpoint on the Chinese? or the Russians? or Americans? They're all pretty much the same......... at least some places are more direct about looking after their own interests. I get why and how that takes place.
You seem to get upset/offended by some of these comments........ but whenever you throw in a little nugget like "they can't tell an American from....." it only serves to make me smile and chuckle about how we're really all the same. The US is systemically racist? If we must agree with that assertion......then let's go all the way and admit that EVERY place is systemically racist. I've known for years that even though most Americans can't tell a Chinese from a Japanese from a Korean, etc etc......and I also know those people can and have had centuries of hating each other even though we can't see a real difference between them. It's f'n hilarious to me. And don't get me started on blacks here. I've asked before how some people can see bigotry and racism everywhere they look.........but then go out and commit the exact same sin themselves?
Now you may see that diatribe as some sort of defense for my own 'racism'........ but again, I'm just observing different groups of people and how they behave towards one another. I dislike most people equally, not for the color of their skin........but just for being humans.
The US is not all that exceptional, especially the last few decades, imo
But let me also say this......... I think there's a world of difference between admitting or acknowledging that the US is no better (or worse) than many other places......... compared to absolute vile shit that the teachers in this country have been pushing of late. At least here they do have the freedom to choose to leave.........which they usually fail to do despite all the pledges to do so back in 2016.

How many times has the US or any other western country been invaded by China and forced to give up land and trade concessions?
I'll save you the bother of not looking it up: zero
I also notice that the only white people you ever rail against are those that don't share your political POV, but you still manage to frame it as buckling to the pressure of those pesky POC.
Systematic racism has and continues to exist in the US, Abs, and it's [mostly] perpetrated and perpetuated by the very people that you have aligned yourself with politically.
You call yourself a libertarian but you're not really. You're just an angry Republican trying to cloak yourself in libertarianism as a way to shield yourself and deflect from your base bigotries. It's people like you that have actually caused libertarianism to acquire such a bad reputation. You say that you want "freedom" but it seems the only freedom you really want is the freedom to punish and walk on and look down on those who don't accept your worldview.
You say we have to many laws and regulations but you defend using the most petty (and racist) of them as long as it punishes the "undesirables" who (OMG) are almost always POC. You don't seem to fully understand that the laws you defend are the ones that have led to inequalities.
In the end, you're just another whip-cracker who's upset that he no longer has anyone to crack the whip at... but you keep trying.
And thanks for posting the same video that I posted a couple weeks ago. Sadly, I don't think you and I hear the same message.

I know the US is a poor example.......but is it entirely necessary to actually invade another country in order to do it damage? China is hardcore 'China First'.......but apparently that's not racist, xenophobic or evil in any way according to the same types who thought it was when a US president does it........and that was in the best interest of all races living legally within the US.
I don't really belong to either group as I can't reach total agreement with any of them. Groups are usually the problem, imo You already know that.
I have plenty of people to crack the whip at......... typical Americans, for instance. The occasional ex-patriot, as well
Exactly.........we saw the same video and came to completely different conclusions about what was actually said. Just like most things political

I see it as your methods do not make things better.
You see it as my methods make things worse........and I believe they are the better method to garner improvement.
Here's a great example, imo......... posted online just the other nite...........
Work harder , millions on welfare depend on you.
Like the nice young lady in front of me at Kwik trip just now , that bought $267 (no typo) worth of candy bars, soda and chips on her food card .....
All food assistance (if there is to be any at all) should be like WIC, or maybe a return to the days of government cheese and pasta
But I'm the asshole for insisting the methods being employed by Govt Welfare these days are not actually improving things?
