Yet Bonobos can be far more aggressive than chimps when their territory is threatened....

Someone I know likes to mention how Samson killed thousands for 'plowing with his heifer'
I don't know..........seems to be a bit extreme and not very consistent

I find the aggressive nature in regards to sexual territory very odd, especially in humans.
Now in Biblical times, men like Samson or King David......... they were allowed to have whole harems, no? So where do they get off expecting nobody to diddle with their ladies?

I wasn't speaking of sexual territory. I was talking about actual territory. Bonobos are some mean motherfuckers when encroached upon.

Really? Worse than Chimpanzees?
It's somewhat amazing the difference in strength versus size between our relatives, imo

Yup. They can be much worse.
As for size and strength, that all comes down to our big brains and opposable thumbs. Our nervous system is wired towards fine motor skills as opposed to gross motor skills that involve more strength.
Ever had a baby grab your finger and think, "Damn. This kid is strong for being so little!"? That's because the nervous system is still wired towards gross motor skills. Our intrinsic curiosity and ability to grasp and manipulate objects eventually rewires towards fine motor skills and the need (and ability) for brute strength diminishes.
The "dumb but strong" stereotype is based on real world manifestations of this wiring.
That is not to say that being strong makes one dumb, but people with diminished mental capacity (and who are otherwise healthy) will often exhibit greater strength than their contemporaries.
Ever try to wrestle a kid with Down Syndrome out of a car seat when they don't want to get out?

I've always thought of that exact thing as an example of how stereotypes often have a grain of truth to them. I had a classmate that was the typical Lenny outta Steinbeck.
But I've also seen where the world/nature often enough has a way of balancing things out. So the smartest/gifted don't always come out ahead........and the dumbest, yet more motivated or consistent can still be reasonably successful in their endeavors.
I can not say that I have. Should I put it on the Bucket List?

Slow and steady may with the race, but do they advance it?
