Mike Rowe Morning. I'm attaching what I think is a really important article about the way millions of Americans have been rewired over the last year. It's not a political observation, though the politics of COVID are now unavoidable. It's really a deeper rumination on my own "Safety Third" mantra, and a warning to those who can't seem to stop from erring on the side of caution.
Consider the last paragraph... "I used to think that the COVID era would snap to a close once vaccines removed the danger from the most vulnerable — and that the human urge to connect would assert itself dramatically in a new roaring ’20s. Now I’m not so sure. A significant portion of the public and some of our leading institutions have internalized entirely new habits of thought and life. The circuit between truth, science, fear, caution and virtue needs to be unwired — and reprogrammed."
In other words, the "Safety First" approach to living is keeping us from living. Please read the attached article - it's important. And if you want a Safety Third mask, there's never been a better time to wear one. 100% of the proceeds go to mikeroweWORKS. bit.ly/3mvxrt5

10 days was extremely optimistic when dealing with a disease with a 14 to 21 day incubation period, but so was "15 cases will quickly become zero."
As for "safety third," personal responsibility dictates wearing a mask and social distancing... to protect yourself from the people who aren't doing it and who might be [unkowingly] carrying the virus.
As for "papers please"... I'm not sure I see the difference between showing a vaccination card and presenting your license, registration, and proof or insurance if you get pulled over for a traffic violation. I'm not sure I see the difference between showing a vaccination card and presenting a voter ID at the polls. I'm not sure I see the difference between showing a vaccination card and presenting a passport/visa when entering the US from another country. Do people still use checks in the US? Do you still need to show ID? If you don't I'm sure you still had to show ID at the bank to set up the account and you had to do some sort of ID check to use PayPal.
If you did nazi ^^^that^^^ coming then you simply haven't been thinking things through well enough.

Shut up and get on the train. You'll love it where you're going. It's a really nice holiday camp, in a quiet, wooded area, with lots of activities to keep you busy. You can even stay in your pajamas all day long if you wish.
