1. No....... I'm simply telling you what has been reported HERE about what happened THERE. You can dispute it if you like....... I'd take your word for it. I was also pointing out that the Chinese Govt has an awful lot more power and control over it's people by the inherent differences between the 2 countries.

2. It has to do with overall health. Unhealthy people are much more susceptible to things like the flu or Covid. As the US is filled with obese and unhealthy people, I'd expect us to have worse numbers than quite a few other countries.

Party chiefs across the country received a vague (as all Chinese laws and directives are) order to sequester and quarantine people who tested positive or who had had contact with someone who tested positive. Local party officials took it upon themselves to determine how best to meet this directive. I can guarantee you that the ones who decided to chain people doors and weld bars across people's doors are no longer party officials due to the loss of face they caused.

It didn't happen everywhere. Funny how you don't trust the media to be truthful, but you lap it up when they give misinformation about groups you already hate....

I had a little go 'round with a guy tonight with a guy who was trying to impress upon a black guy about this group and that group and how "certain people" had to do this and that. My solution was simpler: care about one another. If we all just adhere to the social contract and care about one another all the rest of the bullshit (race, sex, gender, age, etc.) won't matter. The black guy got it. The women listening in got it. The white, male guilt peddlers didn't. They want to figure out how to flagellate themselves first.

I'm betting that you're struggling with it too. You're certainly not a guilt peddler but you're the unseeing, unfeeling opposite: the "why should I care when I didn't do anything wrong in the first place" type.

But your claim of "doing nothing wrong" is based on the fact that you do nothing. Period.
