The new Cadillac Lyriq EV was unveiled in April in "production spec" and also announced that all new vehicles they show from now on will be fully electric.
The Cadillac Lyriq EV is its first real attempt at an electric vehicle , as the ELR, a rebadged Volt, and the CT PHEV were both plug-in hybrids. It is the first Cadillac model to use GM's "Ultium" platform dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles .
Cadillac Lyriq EV Specifications
The Cadillac Lyriq EV model provides you with a welcome animation as you approach the vehicle.
It will start with a base price of just under $k.
The car will have a kWh b C Level Executive List attery that generates up to horsepower at the rear wheels and will be good for “more than miles” of range (there is no official EPA estimate yet).
Initial models will be available in rear-wheel drive configurations, with an all-wheel drive version coming soon.
Coming with a kW built-in charger , it means you'll be able to charge from to >% in just five hours at home, if connected to a amp circuit.
For DC charging , the car can charge up to kW, or miles of range in minutes and miles in minutes.
The interior is spacious, luxurious and very comfortable inside.
The fixed glass roof is huge and adds a sense of spaciousness while improving headroom. There is a retractable cover to keep the sun out, but no moonroof is available.
The trunk is quite large.

There's no "frunk" available on the Lyriq due to the space requirements of the kW charger and optional all-wheel drive, so you'll have to make do with the large rear storage space.
There is an underfloor storage area to store mobile charging cables and other tools, however it is not yet up to production specifications.
Super Cruise available on Cadillac Lyriq EV
Cadillac's Super Cruise is available on the Lyriq, with some improvements over its current functionality on the Bolt EUV. Not only will you be able to change lanes automatically by activating the flashing light, but you can also decide for yourself to change lanes in case you are behind a slow car and there is a faster lane next to you.
Super Cruise currently only works on designated roads (mainly highways), and the system has multiple backups to ensure system functionality (satellite, radar and other in-car sensors) and driver attention (camera and torque sensors in the steering wheel). It is intended as a driving aid, not as an autonomous driving system.
Cadillac says the car will have over-the-air updates for "Super Cruise, infotainment functionality, as well as other performance-related functions and other features."
The greater packaging freedom afforded by the car's electric powertrain allowed them to free up space in the interior , for example with a space under the center console for storing bags and such.
There's also the standard complement of buttons and knobs along with the massive touchscreen. Cadillac wanted some controls to be digital and others physical, giving the driver full access to the settings they need. Additionally, given Cadillac's customer base, they didn't want to alienate their existing customers with too radical a redesign of the driver controls.
