Seriously! And some people will just stand there happily with their little cups and wait for their little drop.

I always thought "trickle down" economics was where rich people pissed on poor people from a great height?

I always thought "trickle down" economics was where rich people pissed on poor people from a great height? ^So much this, and the irony is even greedy corporations should understand the value of more money in the pockets of consumers who buy their goods and services.

I always thought "trickle down" economics was where rich people pissed on poor people from a great height? It gives those poor people incentive to become rich. I believe a "thank you" is in order.

And when they become rich, the first thing they'll do is throw out their old, used socks and buy new ones. You're welcome.

It’s due to trickle down any day now. I have a friend, Republican and an accountant, who really believes that trickle down stuff. There's no discussion with her, she is absolutely certain that the economy sucks when a Dem is in charge. Her investments were doing great under Trump, of course, until SARS-CoV-2 started messing stuff up. And now, of course, everything is Biden's fault.

Can’t argue with stupid unfortunately, it’s like herding cats. Well, I sure know about the futility of herding cats, lol! I think there is a massive lack of critical thinking in this country. It's as if no one thinks through the consequences of an action. Immediate gain is what is pursued, and the overall effect on the long term doesn't seem to be a consideration. And a certain ex-POTUS has made this way of thinking acceptable, along with the total disregard of diplomacy and civility. He is a petulant child, and the IQ of the entire nation seems to have dropped. The media sensationalizing everything hasn't helped, and they also keep the nation busy with distractions while the real issues remain unexamined. Politicians pander to their base supporters, and nothing of real or long-term value happens. I really fear for our democracy.

Politicians pander to their base supporters, and nothing of real or long-term value happens. I really fear for our democracy. There’s definitely a lack of critical thinking. Seems going to bat for your team is more important than facts or compromise which is never a good recipe for competent governance. Can’t see it improving anytime soon either which doesn’t bode well.
