Trump's Wall (TM) really sucks, doesn't it?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was a typo and she meant "million" not "billion" but it's still bullshit... unless you're willing to admit that Trump's Wall (TM) was a colossal waste of taxpayer money... and that the Border Patrol - many of whom have been on the job for waaaaay more than 2 years - are completely incompetent.
And why are those border ranchers and militia groups missing these 8,123 illegals crossing every day? Could it be that some are being offered jobs? Could it be that some are being forced into sexual slavery? I mean... these racists have already dehumanized the immigrants in their minds. Why is it so hard to conjecture that these "patriots" are actually scooping these folks up to use as slave (including sex) labor?
It's a much easier conjecture in my mind than to think that 8,123 immigrants are somehow slipping past physical barriers (Trump's and others') and a Border Patrol that is 21,000 strong. Of course they could even keep that Bieber kid out. Maybe they're afraid his wife's Uncle Alec will shoot them instead of aiming at the brown people?
So there you have it: even to allow for an MTG typo, we have to assume that neither Trump's Wall (TM) nor the US Border Patrol are doing their job and well enough to keep illegal immigrants crossing the border in numbers large enough to replace the population of Boston every 81 days or nearly the entire population of Massachusetts every 2.3 years.
I know a lot of you think that's exactly what's happening despite the numbers being so hilariously not in your favor. So I'll ask you, even if those numbers are factual, what is the solution? Is it a wall that can be scaled in less than a minute or cut into pieces in less than 5? Should we beef up the number of Border Patrol agents from 21,000 to... what? Where will you find the people. Considering some past indiscretions of BP agents, where will you find the RIGHT people? How much do the "right people" cost? Where will you get the funding? I'm sure you'll want to gut social services... as long as YOU aren't a recipient of any of them and plan on killing yourself should you ever be in need of them, but that seems like an uphill battle that could take years to win... or most likely lose, and in the meantime, how many illegal immigrants will have entered the country?
The best solution is so simple. It doesn't cost much. In fact it will end up making enough money to fund physical barriers along the border and hiring more BP agents: Arrest and imprison the people who employ illegals. Fine them up the wazoo, and maybe even use "civil forfeiture" for something other than fucking over minorities for a change.
Immigrants come here because "America is the land of opportunity." Reduce the opportunities for those coming here illegally and their numbers WILL drop. And don't get me wrong, this notion of "Sanctuary Cities" may sound noble and all, but that shit has to stop too. The only illegals we should keep (if no other options exist) are the unaccompanied children. Feel free to INDOCTRINATE them with "American Values" as you see fit, but the minute they commit a crime they can go be unaccompanied minors in somebody else' country. I know that sounds harsh but we're spending a lot of money to give them a better life. If they toss that away, I really have no problem with rending my clothes and disowning them. You shouldn't either as long as you libs admit that your virtue signaling is just that.
But what about the millions of adult illegals that are already here?
If you find an employer employing one illegal there are probably others. Round 'em up! How about we offer them "paths to citizenship" by having them be on the construction crews that build those physical barriers along the border? If they've been in country for over 2 years, put then in an ankle monitor and tell them they have 6 months to prepare for the citizenship test and save up to pay the naturalization fees. If they pass they become citizens and we can defer the naturalization fees for 2 years then just garnish a portion of their wages until it gets paid back. This shit ain't free. We don't want to send the wrong message after putting all those businessmen (and women) in jail to dissuade illegal border crossings.
If you have a problem with any of my suggestions, it's most likely that you're just a racist or that your defense of illegal immigrants is nothing more than you wanting to boost your social credit score.
Yes. Social Credit Score. It may not be ensconced in law like in China, but YOU are absolutely aware of how many "likes" and "retweets" you manage to score and you are super aware of who is seeing your pithy aphorism of the day. And let's face it, if you folks really cared about Climate Change (TM), Greta would have waaay more social media followers than the Kartrashians Almost a BILLION on IG alone... but she's got less than 15 million. I guess you libs would rather gush over a bunch of whores traveling in private jets than think about saving the planet from people flying in private jets.
Yes. It's all interconnected and who you follow and your obsession with who follows you tells the true story of who you are as a "person."

The Wall was meant to get him votes, not actually fix anything. Sadly that's the playbook for all of Trump, DNC, and GOP establishment hacks. Maybe it's time to try Green or People's party.

What's the Green approach to Illegals? Shoot them and turn them into compost?

I would hope prosecute the employers that are hiring them. Which I can guarantee you the Republican Party would then twist that to say there's a war on corporations from the damn dirty commies. Who would you support on that hypothetical?

I've argued with merh about that exact thing repeatedly.
I view it as the Govt's job to stop Illegals. They have moire than enough tools to do so with ease these days.......they just opt not to.
When my wife was somewhat of an Employer, there were limitations placed on Employers regarding interviews and questions to be asked. All one had to do was provide very basic information, then they were eligible to work.
When a 'red flag' would pop up........the Govt? They'd send a letter asking for more details........which would simply mean that Employee knew the gig was up, they'd quit and go find work elsewhere with newer ID

Are you saying she wasn't allowed to ask if the applicant was a citizen of the US or that she was not allowed to ask for proof? In any case, government could certainly change these laws.

15 Interview Questions Employers Legally Aren't Allowed to Ask These are the interview questions that are off the table. By Ashley Moor February 11, 2019
It's highly likely that, over the course of your career, you've had a few truly terrible job interviews. Whether the interviewer made you feel uncomfortable by crossing a line or had some malicious intent with their far-reaching inquiries, there comes a point when you decide you wouldn't take the job no matter what they offered you.
Fortunately, there are laws in place to prevent that from happening (or at least try to prevent that from happening). To ensure you're treated fairly, we've uncovered the interview questions that are completely off-limits during a job interview.
1 "Are you a U.S. citizen?"
2 "How old are you?"
3 "Do you have any disabilities or medical conditions?"
4 "Have you ever been an alcoholic or addicted to drugs?"
5 "What is your religion?"
6 "Have you ever been arrested?"
7 "What is your native language?"
8 "Are you married?"
9 "Are you planning to have children soon?"
10 "Where is your spouse employed?"
11 "What sorority were you in in college?"
12 "How often are you deployed for Army Reserve training?"
13 "Do you own your own home or rent?"
14 "Do you have a bank account?"
15 "How much do you weigh?"

So.........in these times...........you figure a lot of people are bothering to ask? risking being sued?
But even if they did ask..........the person says 'Yes' and that's that. They could be lying.
And as long as they have the asked for documentation, that's the end of the discussion...........unless/until the Govt spots an issue and asks for more details.

Immigrants come here because "America is the land of opportunity." Reduce the opportunities for those coming here illegally and their numbers WILL drop.Migrants go to America because people smugglers promulgate the publicity about how wonderful it is in America and how easy it is to get there. Republicans ecstatically promoted the idea that Biden would open the border to all, so thousands of people with money were happy to pay for a bus trip to paradise. It doesn't help that America has a difficult-to-police land border and no friends to help stop the waves of migrants Of course the land of milk and honey is there with wealthy Americans happy to have cheap domestic servants and farm labourers to keep food prices down. If the US had a functioning governmental system which allowed policies to resolve the immigrant problems in more than a 2 year window every 20 years you could ameliorate it the way some other countries have. Nobody has yet pointe out that 30 years ago the global warming alarmists predicted mass disruption and mas movements of populations within 30-40 years if nothing effective was done about climate change. Can somebody with a calculator tell me when that prediction made around 1990 for 30 - 50 years time will come to pass?

While Americans cry about racism and privilege on the internet, stuffing their faces with Doritos While Netflix is on in the background, we have actual fucking slavery going right under our noses. Harris doesn't go to the border because I don't think she could find her ass if you drew her a map. The border IS a problem, and it's not because of "white genocide" or whatever fairytale the MAGA set tell themselves to justify their neckbeards. It's because of bullshit like this. www.ajc.com/news/this-has-been-happening-for-a-long-time-modern-day-slavery-uncovered-in-ga/SHBHTDDTTBG3BCPSVCB3GQ66BQ/These are the Americans that were running the slavery operation.

After reading this entire thread, I am pleased to see actual discussion, back and forth, with links provided and no ad hominems; so much better than the other board. If we can get more decent posters over here, Politicidal for one, this politics board might end up being a place for actual communication. Fingers crossed...

I'm all for these Govt sanctioned slavery operations. Why not? As long as the Establishment gets it's way......it is as it should be.
