I'm sure a story like this will be used by the "Pot is a dangerous drug" crowd to bolster their position but it's really obvious that the culprits here are parents who don't know how to be adults.

It's no different than having alcohol, medication, cleaning products or firearms in the house...
You store them under lock and key or out of reach of children.
This is not brain surgery... although perhaps some of these so-called parents require brain surgery?
