Dude, there's the sheer numbers angle. There are always more people trying to break the law than enforce it. Look at you at the self checkout.
That's true...........but there are plenty of other crimes with far less odds of getting caught in the act, imo It's a X-Ray machine.
I know that they know........and they know that I know that they know. But as I've said, if the corporate mentality these days is to not even stop outright thieves.......why would they hassle a paying customer that continues to shop for other things?
So it's on them to keep you honest? Laws & rules only exist if you are caught

if it'll make you feel any better..........think of it like our border security. They gotta enforce the laws if they expect anyone to ever observe them.

While businesses get to play your game of breaking the law/rules & waiting to get caught knowing the sheer numbers of people doing it means their odds of getting caught are low. Now it makes sense

There ya go. It's a calculated risk........and is it really much risk if you can save a ton more money than the $Fines might be? Even the little people on welfare can calculate the math often enough.
