School administrator charged with child molestation, giving alcohol to minors, GBI says
Dr. Rachelle Louise Terry, age 43, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, according to investigators.

MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. — An administrator with the Murray County School System has been arrested and charged with child molestation and statutory rape, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. 

Dr. Rachelle Louise Terry, age 43, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, according to investigators. She was the director of federal programs and enrollment -- a role that often works closely with at-risk students such as those in foster care, unhoused students and those who may face abuse at home.

Terry has also been charged with 10 counts of "furnishing alcohol to minors" during a Halloween party earlier this year.

The GBI adds that, back in November, the school district revealed the relationship between Terry and the student to them and requested it to be investigated.

"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the criminal charges involving our employee. These are extremely serious charges. The safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority for Murray County Schools," the district said in a statement. 

A district official said she has been placed on administrative leave as authorities investigate the case. She is currently booked into the Murray County Jail.

CORONADO, Calif. — Hundreds from around the world are arriving in San Diego to pay their respects to a World War II legend.

U.S. Army veteran and Coronado native, Tom Rice served in the 101st Airborne and parachuted into Normandy on D-Day.

He dedicated his life to make sure Americans didn't forget the sacrifices that were made during the global conflict.

Tom Rice said that he wanted to jump until he was age 100 and he did that on the beaches of Coronado in 2021 surrounded by hundreds of supporters.

He lived a life filled with inspiration where he made his impact on the military, the community and in the classroom.

Underneath the WWII 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles uniform was an exemplary man who parachuted into gunfire and stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.

“He was a man of few words, but what he said they were powerful words, they were very deliberate words, and that's what started our friendship,” said retired U.S. Navy Captain, Steven Shepard.

He will be delivering Rice’s eulogy on Saturday where more than 400 people are expected to attend the public memorial including current members of the 101st Airborne stationed in Kentucky.

“In a sense, Tom was a bridge, from the past to the present. Tom allows us to walk over that bridge to understand what happened to have a connection,” said Shepard. “And from that we were much greater as Americans.”

His greatness was felt in France too.

“He’s absolutely our hero," said Denis van den Brink

The author flew from Carentan, the French city that Rice helped liberate during WWII, and wrote the Bronze Star recipient's memoir, The Heroes of Carentan.

“The end the announcement of his passing, you wouldn't believe the reaction that we had in France all over. It's amazing, amazing,” said van den Brink.

Rice died at the age of 101 on November 17 and while Sgt. Rice was known for his bravery and parachuting on D-day anniversaries, he also earned the Purple Heart medal for his sacrifices in the Battle of the Bulge.

After he came home from the war, Rice spent his career as a high school social studies teacher at Chula Vista and Hilltop High Schools.

“It's interesting to see that facet of teaching the next generation how to be strong, confident, fearless, and yet he did it in such a gentle way as well,” said CJ Machado, Rice’s friend.


The veteran’s humility was seen when he volunteered for Honor Flight San Diego and spoke to students about his service.

“He would go into a whisper, ‘never forget,’ so that it would burn into our souls, that spirit of remembrance and sacrifice,” said Machado.

A selfless man who carried the stories of sacrifice and the cost of freedom.

“Tom held the nation's hand and kept it from falling in WWII, in the final days is our chance to hold his hand and keep him from falling,” said Shepard.

More than 400 people are expected to attend Tom Rice's memorial. The public is invited to attend the celebration of life on Saturday December 3, 2022 at Coronado High School’s Performing Arts Center 650 D. Avenue in Coronado. It will also be livestreamed.

A burial service will happen at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at a later date.

Tom’s wife, Brenda, has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Honor Flight San Diego in Tom’s memory. The donations are tax-deductible and will help get more of Tom’s military brothers and sisters on their Honor Flight.

Prince saw Michael T. Schulenberg, a Twin Cities specialist in family medicine, in Excelsior on April 7, 2016, and again on April 20. On April 7, he postponed two performances at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta from his Piano & a Microphone Tour; the venue released a statement saying he had influenza. He rescheduled and performed what was to be his final show on April 14, despite still not feeling well. While flying back to Minneapolis early the next morning, he became unresponsive, and his private jet made an emergency landing at Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, Illinois, where he was hospitalized and received naloxone, a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially following an overdose. Once he became conscious, he left against medical advice. Representatives said he was dehydrated and had influenza for several weeks. Prince was seen bicycling the next day in his hometown of Chanhassen. He shopped that evening at the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis for Record Store Day and made a brief appearance at an impromptu dance party at his Paisley Park recording studio complex, stating that he was feeling fine. On April 19, he attended a performance by singer Lizz Wright at the Dakota Jazz Club.

On April 20, 2016, Prince's representatives called Howard Kornfeld, a California specialist in addiction medicine and pain management, seeking medical help for the star. Kornfeld scheduled to meet with him on April 22, and he contacted a local physician who cleared his schedule for a physical exam on April 21. On April 21, at 9:43 am, the Carver County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call requesting an ambulance be sent to Prince's home at Paisley Park. The caller initially told the dispatcher that an unidentified person at the home was unconscious, then moments later said he was dead, and finally identified the person as Prince. The caller was Kornfeld's son, who had flown in with buprenorphine that morning to devise a treatment plan for opioid addiction. Emergency responders found Prince unresponsive in an elevator and performed CPR, but a paramedic said he had already been dead for at least six hours, and they were unable to revive him. They pronounced him dead at 10:07 am, 19 minutes after their arrival. There were no signs of suicide or foul play. A press release from the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Anoka County on June 2 stated that the musician had died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, at the age of 57.

The fentanyl that led to his overdose was contained in counterfeit pills made to look like a generic version of the painkiller hydrocodone/paracetamol. The question of how and from what source Prince obtained the drug that led to his death has been the subject of investigations by several law enforcement agencies. A sealed search warrant was issued for his estate, and another unsealed search warrant was issued for the local Walgreens pharmacy. On April 19, 2018, the Carver County Attorney announced that the multi-agency investigation related to the circumstances of the star's death had ended with no criminal charges filed.

He bought hydrocodone & got fentanyl. 

I had a client whine he had a friend who could steal all sorts of stuff, but my client kept getting caught. It wasn't fair!
I told him obviously he needed to stop because something about his behavior set off all the alarms to security.

It was annoying whenever my hubby got together with siblings for the whole "mom liked you better" crap.

So no, not entitlement.
A sense of being cheated, not being treated fairly.
