Of course they ran a black candidate. For the same reason Donnie always had black people behind him at his rallies I also suspect by the end Walker didn't want to win. It was too much of a mess.
They don't include blacks.........they do include blacks. Can't win either way with an (R) right?

You think disliking Walker had to do (solely) with that (R)?
The man is a hypocrite and (quite frankly) mentally defective. The only reason the GOP bothered with the guy is because of his race. They held their collective nose and prayed.
Unanswered.

They interviewed people who voted for him. Many didn't care about the flaws because they were sure he would vote "the right way". He didn't campaign for a week around Thanksgiving. I think he was done with it by then. Didn't want to win. Just wanted to go back to Texas

And what more should we look for in any candidate? Their gender? their wealth? their good looks? NO! You want them to vote the way you'd vote.
I think if you do a deeper dive, you'll find the GOP went out of it's way to ignore several of their own candidates because they weren't in bed with the GOP Establishment. Michels barely lost in Wisconsin to the pencilneck Evers. I'm guess the spending amounts for the two was vastly different. Heck, the Lincoln Project and RepublicanAccountability were running anti-GOP ads themselves.
quick Google: Incumbent Gov. Tony Evers and his challenger Tim Michels, along with their special interest groups, spent more than $115 million, according to the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign. Individually, Evers and Michels put a combined $67,204,095.48 behind their campaigns. Evers spent $42,731,400.34 and Michels spent $24,472,695.14, as of Nov. 3. That number could be higher with last-minute spending.
While that is a huge amount of campaign spending, the actual amount of money spent is much higher. That's due to dark money groups that attack either candidate and do not have to report their activities.
This shatters the previous record of $93 million in 2018. ===============================================
So all that money spent on a lowly Governor job? This country is so F'd it's not even funny anymore.

Yup.
That's how the GOP likes their black people....
