I heard more than one candidate pointing out that the GOP was spending money on Establishment favored candidates in risky races.........while ignoring new blood all over the country. Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker said individuals born after 1990 haven't "earned the right" to change America and should have their citizenship revoked if they think better countries exist.

Walker, who is facing off against Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock in a December 6 runoff election, originally made the comments in an April 10 interview with journalist Christine Dolan of CD (Creative Destruction) Media.

The clip resurfaced Sunday after being posted by the Twitter account Patriot Takes.

Dolan asked Walker how he felt about "people who want to change America from when you and I were kids," saying that up to 90 million Americans were born after 1990.

Millennials and Generation Z compose 21.75 percent and 20.67 percent of the U.S. population, respectively, according to 2021 data from Statista. Millennials are designated as those born between 1981 and 1996, and Gen Z are those born between 1997 and 2012.

Millennials now outnumber baby boomers, who represent 21.16 percent of Americans.

"They don't know that the grass is not greener on the other side," Walker responded. "They think there's somewhere better, and if they know another place that's better than the United States of America, my thing is, why don't you go there or tell me, let me know who that is, because I can tell them right now, there's not."

He then said "that most of the people today hadn't earned the right to change America," invoking those who have devoted their lives to military service to protect American liberties.

"And I'm saying, and I'm not being tough, I'm saying if you know a place better, you go there but you lose your citizenship here in the United States of America," Walker continued. "And then when you come back, you gotta come back legally, like we should be defending the border."

Walker's own ties to the U.S. military have been scrutinized.

In 2021, Walker told a Savannah news outlet that he "started a military program" called Patriot Support.

The Associated Press later reported that corporate documents, court records and Senate disclosures showed that Walker was the spokesman of a for-profit program alleged to have preyed upon veterans and service members while defrauding the government.

The AP also reported that Walker was not the individual who initially started the program.

"So let me get this straight—you are demonizing Herschel for being the face of an organization for 14 years that has helped tens of thousands of soldiers suffering from mental illness," Walker spokeswoman Mallory Blount responded to the AP.

Following a remark with Black media outlet Rolling Out that he was "fortunate" in his military career, CNN reported that Walker never served in the military.

While Walker had visited multiple military bases and discussed mental health advocacy, he never was actually part of the military or had a "career" within it.

Data published Monday by the Georgia Secretary of State showed that turnout so far, including both absentee ballots and early voting, has totaled about 181,700. That is about 2.7 percent of the state's 7.006 million active voters.

Of that 181,700, voters aged 18-24 represented some 18,000 voters.

The runoff is due to neither candidate reaching 50 percent of total statewide votes in the November 8 election.

Newsweek reached out to the Walker and Warnock campaigns for comment.

A complaint filed Sunday with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the state attorney general is calling for an investigation into whether Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker committed a felony by voting in Georgia elections while claiming a homestead exemption for a home he owns in Texas.

The complaint, written by Georgia resident Ann Gregory Roberts, states that “it appears that Walker was not a resident of Georgia for voting purposes when he registered to vote and voted. Any person who votes, or registers to vote, knowing that he or she is not eligible to do so is guilty of a felony.”

Walker is engaged in a runoff election with Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock that concludes on Dec. 6. Early voting turnout in the contest has shattered records, and a win by the Democrat could give his party a 51-49 majority in the Senate.

A former football great who ran for Senate at the urging of former President Donald Trump, Walker has been hit during the campaign with accusations that he paid for women he impregnated to receive abortions. The latest charge against him alleges that he is set to receive a $1,500 tax credit for 2022 on a Texas home that is listed as his primary residence.

“Herschel Walker registered to vote in Georgia in 2021 and voted in the 2022 primary and general elections despite simultaneously claiming a homestead tax exemption in Tarrant County, Texas,” the complaint reads. “To be eligible for a homestead exemption in Texas, a property must be owned and occupied as the owner’s principal residence.”

CNN first reported that Walker will receive the exemption for his $4 million home, located in the Dallas suburb of Westlake. According to Tarrant County’s tax appraisal office, he has received the exemption since 2012. The public tax records also show that Walker took the exemption in 2021 and 2022 even after launching his bid for Senate in Georgia.

To be eligible for that Texas tax break, the owner of the property must “use the home as his or her principal residence on Jan. 1 of the tax year.” If a homeowner moves out of Texas, the resident can still receive the exemption “if you do not establish a principal residence elsewhere, you intend to return to the home, and you are away less than two years.”

Georgia law requires a voter with a homestead tax exemption to claim the address where the homeowner is receiving the exemption for voting purposes.

The U.S. Constitution simply requires a person to be an “inhabitant” of their state when elected.

According to election records maintained by the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State, Walker registered to vote in Fulton County, Ga., on Aug. 17, 2021, listing the address of a home located in the Buckhead section of Atlanta that is owned by his wife, Julie Blanchard, as his primary residence.


Jeff Law, the chief appraiser of the Tarrant Appraisal District, told 11Alive that his office will ask Walker if his Texas home is still his principal residence. The agency could also examine his driver’s license to check if it matches the home address.

No one from the Walker campaign returned requests from Yahoo News for comment.

On Monday, Rep. Nikema Williams, the chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, doubled down on calls for a probe into whether Walker “lied about being a Georgia resident.”

“Georgians deserve answers, and Walker must be held accountable for his pattern of lies and disturbing conduct,” Williams told 11Alive in response to the letter. “This is yet another reminder that Walker lacks both the competence and character to be our U.S. senator.”

Warnock, who is the senior pastor of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, explains that he and his wife, Ouleye Ndoye, are in the process of getting a divorce, and domestic disputes between them have been escalating.

Warnock tells the officer they had an argument that morning over divorce papers while their two kids were present. He says that his wife prevented him from closing the car door by standing in front it.

"I don’t want to get into a shoving match with her. So I go back around, get back in the car, and I slowly start to move, like I’m gonna move forward. Then she claims I ran over her foot," Warnock tells the officer.

The officer then goes over to Warnock’s wife who is by now outside the house to hear her side of the story. She tells the officer that she had been trying to get Warnock’s signature for a passport so she can take the kids to see her family in West Africa after the death of her grandpa. She says that Warnock refused to talk to her as he was getting in the car.

"He’s like, ‘Ouleye, close the door. I’m leaving,’" his wife tells the officer while crying. "And I was like, ‘just hear me out. If your mom died, and I had the kids. Wouldn’t you want me to let them go with you to the funeral? And he just starts backing the car up. He wasn’t going fast, I’m not bleeding. But I just can’t believe he’d run me over."

Asked whether she thought it was intentional, she says, "Obviously. I was standing here. The door was open and I’m leaning into the car. How can you drive the car when I’m leaning into it?"

She later tells the officer she wants to file a report.

"This man’s running for United States Senate, and all he cares about right now is his reputation," she tells the officer. "I’ve been very quiet about the way that he is for the sake of my kids and his reputation."

She adds: "I’ve tried to keep the way that he acts under wraps for a long time, and today he crossed the line. So that is what is going on here. And he’s a great actor. He is phenomenal at putting on a really good show."

Medical officials did not find visible signs of injury on his wife’s foot and Warnock was never charged with a crime. The estranged couple finalized their divorce proceedings in May, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Newt Gingrich has drawn one clear lesson for Republicans from the midterms: They "must learn to quit underestimating President Joe Biden." The former House speaker notes in an op-ed at Gingrich 360 that Republicans have a lot of fun depicting the 80-year-old as a doddering old man. "We dislike Biden so much, we pettily focus on his speaking difficulties, sometimes strange behavior, clear lapses of memory, and other personal flaws," he writes. "Our aversion to him and his policies makes us underestimate him and the Democrats." The problem for the GOP is that Biden thrives on being underestimated, writes Gingrich, who sees a parallel in presidential predecessors Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan.

"Both wanted people to think of them as pleasant—but not dangerous," he writes. "They found being underestimated was a major asset. While people laughed at them, they were busy achieving their goals and getting their programs implemented." Gingrich makes the case that Biden has made a career out of doing the same thing, and his success in doing so has continued through his first two years as president. The GOP has much to figure out as it prepares to fight what Gingrich labels "Big Government Socialism," and that includes how to defeat Biden in 2024. "This is a much bigger challenge than I would have guessed before the election."

Republicans must learn to quit underestimating President Joe Biden.

The college and professional football seasons always help me clarify the difference between winning and losing. I love the Green Bay Packers, but they are not having a good year. On the other hand, the University of Georgia just executed its second undefeated regular season since Herschel Walker played there. (Of course, the Bulldogs must beat LSU for the SEC Championship and then win their second consecutive national championship to Georgia alumni’s expectations.)

The clarity of winning and losing creates a clarity of analysis about who is doing well and who isn’t.

If you apply that simple model to Biden, you realize how well he is doing by his own definition of success.

Like most Americans, I do not approve of the job he is doing. Like virtually all conservatives and Republicans, I deeply oppose his policies. They are clearly weakening America and strengthening our enemies. And, again, like most Americans, I oppose the woke policies which are undermining and threatening to destroy popular, unique, shared American culture.

However, conservatives’ hostility to the Biden administration on our terms tends to blind us to just how effective Biden has been on his terms. He has only built upon and fortified the left-wing Big Government Socialist woke culture system.

We dislike Biden so much, we pettily focus on his speaking difficulties, sometimes strange behavior, clear lapses of memory, and other personal flaws. Our aversion to him and his policies makes us underestimate him and the Democrats.

But remember: Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan both preferred to be underestimated. Both wanted people to think of them as pleasant – but not dangerous. They found being underestimated was a major asset. While people laughed at them, they were busy achieving their goals and getting their programs implemented.

Biden has achieved something similar.

He has spent 50 years in public life (elected to the U.S. Senate at 29 and only eligible to be sworn in after the election in 1972). Biden genially bumbled into becoming a major force in the Senate. While he failed miserably in attempting to run for president, he ended up as vice president for eight years. Then he stayed in the basement and won in 2020.

The Biden team took an amazingly narrow four-vote majority in the U.S. House and a 50-50 tie in the Senate and turned it into trillions of dollars in spending – and a series of radical bills. The latest bill on sexual rights overriding all other rights was bitterly opposed by virtually every conservative even as it passed with Republican support.

Biden has carefully and cautiously waged war in Ukraine with no American troops. Although poorly timed and slowly delivered, U.S. weapons and financial aid have helped cripple what most thought would be an easy victory for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Despite terrible problems with the economy, crime, and the border (which led many analysts, me included, to assume the GOP would make big gains in November) Biden and his team executed a strategy of polarizing Americans against Donald Trump supporters. They turned Jan. 6 into a crisis which eclipsed the Left’s previous summer of fire, chaos, and destruction. They also grossly exaggerated the threat to abortion rights. And it all worked.

The Biden team had one of the best first term off-year elections in history. They were not repudiated. They did not have to pay for their terrible mismanagement of the economy.

If Republicans are going to successfully work through the next two years in the Congress – and win the presidency in 2024 – we need to look much more deeply at what worked and what did not work in 2020 and 2022.

Today there is not nearly enough understanding (or acknowledgement) among leading Republicans that our system and approach failed. We need to rethink from the ground up how we are going to Defeat Big Government Socialism – including almost inevitable second-time Democrat Presidential Nominee Biden.

This is a much bigger challenge than I would have guessed before the election.

The Democrat Raphael Warnock defeated Walker in the Senate runoff election on Tuesday. Walker's campaign had been marked by allegations including that he paid for women to have abortions despite taking a strict stance against abortion access.

His son, Christian Walker, tweeted on Tuesday that his father had rejected calls not to run after Trump repeatedly told him to enter the race.

"The Truth: Trump called my dad for months DEMANDING that he run," Christian Walker said. "Everyone with a brain begged him: 'PLEASE DON'T DO THIS. This is too dirty, you have an insane past… PLEASE DONT DO THIS.' We got the middle finger. He ran."

He also accused the Republican Party of running his father in the election because of his skin color.

"Republicans, we say we don't play 'identity politics' and then you ran this man mainly because he was the same skin color as his opponent with no background other than football," he tweeted. "A boring old Republican could have won."

Christian Walker, who is estranged from his father, publicly criticized Herschel Walker during the campaign. In October, after a report detailed allegations that Herschel Walker had urged and paid for a woman he was dating in 2009 to get an abortion, Christian Walker accused his father of lying and of abusive behavior.

"You're not a 'family man' when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence," he tweeted.

Christian Walker was otherwise generally quiet through much of the campaign but said on Tuesday on Twitter Spaces that he could speak freely now that the election was over and he didn't risk driving voters to the Democratic candidate, The New York Times reported.

The Times described Christian Walker as a right-wing influencer who has supported Trump.

During the Senate campaign, Herschel Walker was accused of hiding "secret" children and of pressuring two women to have abortions, which he has denied.

An ex-girlfriend also accused him of attacking her after she caught him with another woman. Herschel Walker has not commented publicly on the allegation.
