Private equity investors are certainly a pimple on the arse of society. Or perhaps "parasite" would be a better description. However, why did the Youtubers feel it necessary to besmirch the good name of octopods?

Corporations operating within the rules laid out are parasitic, but the people milking the same system for all it's worth, isn't? Interesting
I watched this despite it being narrated and produced by the impish Reich.........a fella that's been around, been wrong and in complete denial of his own destructive ways for decades.
Homes? But aren't people being told home ownership is olde fashioned nonsense? Big city living is all about being a renter and more care free your whole life?
Home scarcity? I have pointed out how odd it seems that every community across the land hasn't put into place very strict limits on the amount of rental units allowed vs single family constructions. WHO is in charge of approving and permitting ALL construction again? Let......me.......think........
Generational Wealth? Yet another olde fashioned and silly concept from the past that needed to be rooted out in favor of lifelong student loan debt and credit card use in order to keep up with the Joneses. The average American can't scrape up $400 in an emergency.......but they sure buy a lot more than that on credit over and over and over again. Let's see a show of hands for everyone leaving behind some 'generational wealth' for their so called loved ones.
Healthcare bilking? Here I thought the ACA was going to cure all of that? No? Weird
Higher costs than what Medicare charges? After it's been shown they very involvement of Govt results in lower fees collected, thus higher costs to everyone that's actually paying. But it's not the fault of Govt?
MSM? Newspapers? That are hardly even read, much less paid for anymore? Predatory practices? Has nothing to do with the non-stop leftist drivel printed in them, though. Right? I'm sure CNN's current numbers have nothing at all to do with their failed narratives and embraced policies, as well.
And after all is said and done, private equities are taking more and more money that people can't afford to pay? This message brought to you by a guy that's been around and working in concert with a Federal Govt that has driven the country into massive debt the likes of which the world have never seen before? Just the lone thing of student loan forgiveness is going to cost the average American how much? I'm sure it's more than their non-existent $400 emergency fund.

The government generally incurs more debt during Republican regimes.
Weird.

No doubt.........using a Govt that has grown so large and intrusive it's involved in every facet of peoples' lives.
It's the ultimate in chicken/egg arguments

It seems like thinly veiled corruption... that's not really thinly veiled. But that's okay, because the people suspected of corrupt behaviour will investigate themselves and are sure to find that they did nothing wrong. Place them all in pillories in the middle of public parks and squares and allow members of the public to pelt them with fruits and vegetables.

One of the funniest most absurd things about the US is how the right loves to talk about private enterprise being more efficient than the government. But efficiency is not a meaningful metric if all the profits go to a few at the top and everyone else is turned into a peon. As it turns out, the government running things is much preferable to privately owned and operated if you want a decent place to live. The VA is an easy example, as we talked about a few weeks ago.

The US does get some things right, but while the VA shines in certain aspects, it's a mess in others.
I suppose that's why I'm OK with single-payer UHC but I'd never be able to get on board with government actually making medical decisions.
