Why does Hollywood keep making content for non-fans?

White men are far and away the largest consumer group of comic books, fantasy literature, Sci-Fi literature, and the other forms of media developed from these sources, so why, oh why does Hollywood keep making movies and TV shows with gender and race-swapped heroes and subsequently turn all white men into simps?

It seems to me that if you want your content to be financially successful, you'd want to ingratiate yourself with the people who represent the largest market share, but Hollywood seems bound and determined to create content that appeals to a very small segment of "fans," most of whom will probably never even tune into the show... sort of like how WNBA "fans" and "fans" of professional women's soccer have never been to a match or even know the names of their local teams.

And who's going to advertise to pay for these shows?

Well, probably a bunch of companies that want to appear "woke" but really have nothing to offer even the limited audience they'd reach... which is why they won't shell out as much advertising dough as they would for men's sports or shows that men watch... which is why women athletes don't get paid the same as men and why Amazon Prime and Disney plus pretty much only advertise their own products.

It mystifies the hell out of me... and it's not just Hollywood that does it. The BBC is another offender as well.

It seems the idea of making entertaining and profitable "content" for audiences has suddenly became too difficult for them to understand.

We can only hope that these modern artistic visionaries find it easier to ask, "Would you like fries with that?" in their next job.

I don't get into superhero movies much other than Batman, but it seems to me they make mostly white stuff with a bit of female/minority pieces thrown in to attract other demographic groups. I do know quite a few chicks that are into it so the female stuff should come as no surprise whatsoever, at least.

That still doesn't address why these new shows are openly hostile to their main fan base: white men.

Readership of Black Panther didn't go up in the wake of the first movie. I think it actually went down.

Any new She Hulk readers? Nope. Fewer.

Scarlet Witch enslaves hundreds and gets a pat on the back for freeing them... from a  black woman. The white guy who helped free them gets treated like schmoe.

White, redheaded, female heroes are being erased at a record pace if you want to ditch the whole "patriarchy" thing.

And back to Black Panther for a sec. One thing that always pissed me off was the king's sister calling the white guy, "colonizer" as if Wakanda had ever been under threat of colonization. That was just pure hatred of white people for no reason whatsoever.

It probably got a lot of "DAYUM's" in theaters from people who can't think logically but some of us can and we know it was just tossed in out of hate.

Galadriel, who can disintegrate living being with a word and the flick of her wrist now needs armor and armies of simping men... which she never uses except as fodder because she can do it all herself?

Henry Cavill - Witcher fan extraordinaire - is leaving his own show because of what the writers are doing to the character: making him a sidekick to "strong woman."
