Now their mortality rate is three fourths the rate of the US.

Their mortality rate is literally one tenth of the US.
In fact, the only countries doing as bad as the US are those that started the virus with right wing leadership. The ones that are doing worse still have right wing leadership.
Keep your eyes on Italy in the coming months....

Australia started off COVID with a right-wing government - left-wing by US standards - but although we now have an actual left-wing government, I'm not sure things have improved. We currently have well over 15 000 deaths, with a steadily increasing death toll almost every day, but all we get from our national leaders is complete silence on the subject. It would appear they've abandoned the citizenry in favour of the economy. |

THAT is going to be going away soon and they'll start playing nice again.
