And there are plenty of gay actors in straight roles.

And it's not really about "homophobia" per se.

It's about actors getting paid interviews and photo-shoots for girl's and women's magazines and enticing those demographics to spend their money on the films.

That there are gay actors in Hollywood is one of the worst-kept secrets of all time.

You did just remind me of how George Michael's popularity sorta fell off the map after he came out. I thought Americans were a bit more evolved than that by the 90s.    But you weren't kidding.......all the ladies who suddenly didn't buy his music must have just thought his voice faded, huh?
