Funny, funny man.
Rest In Peace
RIP
Another piece I saw today stated he was a 'controversial' comedian. And I was like "WHAT?" He hasn't really been in the spotlight for years (long before woke culture ever took over) and even when he was more well known to most in the US, he was never nearly as 'dangerous' a comic as someone like Carlin or Pryor.
The "controversy" was about how he allegedly gave Ed Sullivan the finger on air.

So it was sorta like Elvis's hips and the Beatles long hair.
Whooo! I do declare all this controversy is giving me the vapors!

Norm Macdonald, the deadpan comedian, actor, writer and “Saturday Night Live” star, has died after a battle with cancer, Variety has confirmed. He was 61.
Macdonald privately battled the disease for almost a decade. “Norm was an original! He defined American humor with honesty and blunt force,” Jeff Danis, president of DPN Talent and one of Macdonald’s reps, told Variety in a statement. Dozens of comedians, including Seth Rogen, Jon Stewart, Ron Funches and Jim Gaffigan, paid tribute to Macdonald, “one of the greatest comedians to have ever lived,” on social media.

Father Emil Kapaun, Captain, US Army, Chaplain (RCC) Medal of Honor recipient "Servant of God" (first step in canonization process) He died 70 years ago this past May in a POW camp in China, but his body was finally returned home and buried today. He served in Burma in WWII, in Tokyo during the occupation of Japan, and in Korea where he earned a Bronze Star for saving a wounded soldier while under fire and a Distinguished Service Cross (later upgraded to the MOH) for saving the lives of 40 men during battle. He also received the Legion of Merit and a Purple Heart. This chaplain was pretty kick ass and he's finally home and at rest. Thank you for your service, Chappy. Go with God.

I would have voted for this guy as president a few years ago. RIP

He wasn't perfect, but had he run back in 2000 (was it?) I might have voted for him as well. Rest In Peace, General.
