Yes, it IS a democratic republic and not a democracy. It's a distinction that needs to be made so that simpletons stop insisting that "She got more votes" is how Hillary had her election stolen.

After over a year of mostly peaceful riots and vandalism......to suddenly ignore that the crowd at the Capitol was just as mostly peaceful is an amazing thing to view.

The FBI, CIA and quite a few other agencies need to go bye-bye ........years ago, in fact.

John McCain WAS a pos, imo. War hero or not........after getting elected, he failed to deliver to conservatives as promised. His daughter is almost as bad, but at least she's gone. (Until she runs as a D, of course)

The current crop of Joint Chiefs of Staff ARE a buncha F'n losers, imo. Have they been successful in any wars of late? Not that we've bothered to legally declare war since the 1940s........ but how has Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan played out with these wunderkind of military experience? Seems to me they should have resigned in disgrace years ago. I know this....... if THEY had been in charge during WWII, we likely wouldn't have defeated the Nazis. They're certainly losing their asses to the Communists these days.

Soul of America? I can't believe the word is even being used. For such an amoral place........seemingly leaving any real core religious values behind......WHAT soul?

The one thing I agree with Maher there? Yes, Immigrants.........of both the legal and illegal varieties actually appreciate the opportunities that the US has to offer. It's an amazing thing watching people from all over the world come here and succeed.......while so called regular Americans bitch, moan and whine that "It just can't be done".    Learn how to copy others.

1. Al Gore had a legitimate bitch, but when he got handed the loss he said, "OK. I lost. Good luck, George. We all hope America is better for it." He probably didn't mean it, but saying it goes a long way. It's called "being the bigger man."

2a. You and your ilk have to stop thinking that when people say, "Democracy" that they are speaking specifically about a direct democracy. Do the people elect their reps and senators? They do. That's democracy.

2b. I don't recall Hitlery saying that the election was stolen. I'm pretty sure she said, "OK. I lost. Good luck, Donald. We all hope America is better for it."

3. Trying to overthrow the democratic process sort of sets the two events apart.

1. Al Gore took steps to legally challenge that election. I may or may not even agree with how the court decided........but he did it. And the Left has certainly to this day still insisted it was a stolen election. Because they're not the bigger men.

3. I still remember (and have argued with her defenders) that she did NOT concede victory at first. In fact, she sent someone else to do it. If anything, that was the strangest election night in my memory as it sailed past the usual 9 or 10 0'clock pronouncement of a winner......while the MSM clearly kept holding out hope it was all some bizarre mistake.

I chose that video simply because it was from a source that you'd be OK with.......many of the earlier whine-fests from her were FOX video clips. To this day she still pushes that same narrative.
