If we're going to change the language

can we at least try to do it in ways that make sense and remain informative?

Let's take the debacle of the word "woman" for example.

What's so wrong with calling a transwoman a transwoman? We're still saying that she's a woman... just adding in a little information. Ditto, transman.

As for the term "real"... a transwoman can be a real woman. She just can't be a biological woman... at least until medical science can successfully transplant functional wombs and ovaries.

If those are unacceptable - as I suspect many non-trans people will argue - then let's just steal a page from the playbook of our friends in India and come up with a catch-all term for "third sex" people like, "hijra." The term has already been around for about 1,800 years so it's tried and true.

David spade had a pretty good bit on Caitlyn Jenner. He wasn't bothered by the whole transformation, so much as the name choice. Caitlyn belongs to an under 30 girl, he said. Jenner should have went with a more age appropriate name......like Barb!
