No, but what of it? Remember, I have no personal experience with American currency.

ahhhh, well the light bit of humor here is our currency used to be much more boring looking and pretty much the same color.
But now? It's taken on new shades and hues..........and coincidentally it aligns with the Monopoly Money from the board game?
What's next? Our politicians get these to carry around in their wallets?

I knew about yours, Britain's and Canada's money before, too
But seriously, our money was pretty much all drab greenish before
But they couldn't have mixed up the colors different from Monopoly?

Perhaps they have a sense of humour, or zero fucks to give? Perhaps they thought it was a natural fit between real life capitalism and a game famously based on capitalism? I have a theory that they made Australian currency look like play money, to lessen the impact on paying bills and taxes.

heheheheh
I distinctly remember the first time I saw credit cards accepted at retailers like Taco Bell. It shocked me.
But then I read about the big push to eliminate cash and realized it was all in the works. A study also showed that people were likely to spend more when it was a quick swipe rather than having to count out those hard earned bills. Roughly 30% more, IIRC
So here we are several years later and the country is more in debt, almost completely using electronic payment and non-stop consumers. With very little financial control.

Never had a credit card and hopefully never will. As the old saying goes, "money talks, bullshit walks". I'm not afraid of a big purchase when I want something, such as a couple of PS5s, but I'm very focused on what does and doesn't matter to me.

I've always been a bit like that... But the passage of time has certainly helped me to improve my... focus.
