I'm 30 minutes into the first episode and I can already tell you why critics hate it and audiences love it: it's pro-man. That is to say that military men are manly, strong, action-oriented, intelligent, caring, and generally honorable. They aren't being portrayed as being second fiddle to women. They aren't getting beaten up by women half their size. They aren't being portrayed as if they shouldn't be allowed to share the earth with women.
I'll write more after I've watched more.

Surprise. Surprise.
Chris Pratt can actually act.
I don't think he's going to be bringing home an Emmy but it was a really solid performance well beyond what I would have ever expected of him.
The series was good but a tad long. Six episodes would have been plenty. I saw a couple reviews saying that making the story a two-hour movie would have been enough. Sure, but that's not the trend these days is it? I didn't hear the critics bitching about "The Expanse" books being serialized for TV. Game of Thrones? Bosch? Jack Reacher?
I think all the negative press is based on one thing: Chris Pratt's alleged religious affiliations, stories about which are just knee-jerks from "woke" simpletons.
It was a decent enough series with some good action set pieces and Pratt doing a good job at bringing a complex anti-hero to life for the small screen.
Give it a watch.

Such a strange era we're in now.
And people unable to separate the actors from their private lives? and even more ridiculous complaints...........
