MTA bus driver assaulted after not opening bus doors in between stopsBy Emily Nadal 1010 WINS NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An MTA bus operator was assaulted while on duty in the Bronx on Thursday and police are searching for two people they say are responsible. The attack occurred just after 4 p.m. while the MTA worker was driving the BX18 bus along East 170th Street. A man and a woman attempted to board the bus while it was between stops but the bus driver did not open the doors, police said. Both suspects followed the bus on foot to its next stop—East 170th Street and Walton Avenue—where the female suspect got on and threw an unknown liquid in the bus operator’s face, authorities said. After exiting the bus, the driver was knocked to the ground, punched and kicked by the duo before they fled the scene, cops said. The victim suffered pain and swelling to her face and body and bruises to her knees. She was taken to BronxCare Health System in stable condition. Surveillance footage shows the suspects walking ahead of the bus just before the assault. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

I'm also guessing they wouldn't have pulled that shit if the driver was a man.
