I don't know that I ever heard an outcry about "genderism" regarding Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead, so I suppose this is just about getting ahead of the curve:
A toy that has literally been about swapping body parts for 70-odd years, now feels the need to rebrand for the sake of "inclusivity."

Buzz and Woody better watch out... They'll be coming for them next. Well, Buzz will become Buzzie, a female character who loves her STEM subjects and Woody will get a racial makeover so that a "black" toy can be shown as honest and upright and capable of saving the day. I'm guessing he'll be voiced by Will Smith. |
