Video recorded on a JetBlue flight shows former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in a physical altercation with a person who representatives for Tyson claimed was harassing him.
The brief clip, first published Thursday by TMZ Sports, shows Tyson appearing to try to punch someone who's pushing him away.
In the video, someone can be heard saying, "Mike, Mike."
Representatives for Tyson, 55, said in a statement that he had an incident on a flight with another passenger who "began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat."
The airline declined to comment. The video did not show what occurred before the altercation.
The second passenger has not been identified.
San Francisco police said in a statement that officers interviewed two people at the airport's domestic terminal Wednesday night for a report that they had been in an altercation on a flight.
The statement, which does not name Tyson, said one of the people was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The person offered few details about what happened and refused to cooperate with authorities, the statement said.
Townsend, reportedly intoxicated at the time, sought a selfie from the 55-year-old fighter — and continued to chatter on even after the photo was snapped.
Tyson’s reps told the Daily News in a statement Thursday that Townsend at one point threw a water bottle at the athlete, triggering the violence. The former champ has a history of getting into brawls outside the ring.
The San Francisco Police Department detained two people after the incident, a spokesperson told The News Thursday. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, but wouldn’t cooperate with police after providing “minimal details of the incident.

The JetBlue flight took off about an hour behind schedule and touched down in Miami around 7 a.m. local time.
Townsend’s interactions with police earlier this week are far from his first encounter with authorities, TMZ reported Friday.
In 2018, the 36-year-old trespassed and then stole a trailer by hitching it to his pickup truck. His criminal history also includes fraud, grand theft, burglary, trafficking in stolen property, and possession of controlled substances, which was for oxycodone.
Townsend has also reportedly served time behind bars on two separate occasions — the first was a 20-month stint while the second lasted 15 months.
“Our client is a big Mike Tyson fan. When Mike Tyson boarded the plane, he became overly excited,” attorney Matt Morgan told TMZ Friday.
