Fiduciary responsibility.
Stockholders invested money into business in order to see a return on their investment.
Your pension/retirement accounts are all relying on that sort of return, as well.
Businesses are not there primarily to supply the workers with their most luxurious life.
If you socialists really wanna reap all the rewards of your labor, then YOU have to become the owners and assume all the risk.

Why do you keep ignoring the solution? REPLACE those evil owners with the workers themselves.
CHURCHILL - “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

No pay the workers so they'll stay AND be able to afford the product which is advertising for the product?

no, No, NO! You keep insisting that corporations and Owners are bad.........that they value greedy profits over paying their workers better wages.
Well, I give you the solution to that. The workers pool their resources, buy out the owners, and become the rulers of their own destiny once and for all.
But that'd take responsibility and assuming some of the risk themselves. And we know how unions and most people feel about that.

I never wanted to be a boss. I thought you said that as well. But you believe everyone else does.

I want to be te boss of my own life. But be a boss to others? No, thanks.
I don't believe everyone else does. I'm pointing out that people really don't wanna take on the part of the boss, make the big bucks, risk the big bucks. BUT that's what you gotta do to see the bigger returns.
Why is that such a foreign concept? No risk, no reward.

You work an honest day You want an honest deal
So you negotiate what you feel an honest deal is ahead of time.
THEN you work and THEN you get compensated. Nothing too difficult.

Unions play games, hold employers hostage with the threat of walk-outs and picket lines...........and until very recently, were only successfully growing among Govt workers.......which has not been a good thing for tax payers. imo

No. Unions did well into the 80s Reagan signaled it was fine to bust them. So this is simply their return That pesky income inequality thing you don't believe in.
