Is that Jack always talks to Rose like she's a dog.
"C'mon, Rose! You can do it. Go get help, Rose. That's good, Rose."
I think it's the overuse of her name.
Seriously, imagine yourself outside playing fetch with your dog... named, Rose.
Pretty much sounds like all of Jack's dialogue, doesn't it?

What a shame he didn't think to say, "C'mon, Rose, move over. There's room for both of us on that fucking door."

I've kinda always thought Winslet was
I also wonder how that whole 'Women and children' first thing would actually fly these days?

1. Yeah. She's not my cup of tea either.
2. People would die while everyone was arguing over what constitutes "women."

1. I've got nothing against Kate Winslet, but I absolutely cannot stand fictional characters named Rose for some reason... 2. Women...? I've heard the term used, but surely they were just make believe?

2. They certainly are make believe now.

The first story of the first series was called ROSE. Just... ugh. 2. I'm relieved to hear that. The possibility that they could actually be real is utterly terrifying.

2. Yeah. The "real" ones are terrifying enough.

1. There was also another companion called Jack who appeared later in the first season of New Who... but I'm sure that was just a "coincidence". There was also a black guy called Mickey who dated Rose... until this 1 000 year-old alien moved in on his 17 year-old girlfriend. 2. To think they once roamed freely across the surface of the Earth...

1. And neither could trust their girlfriends... 2. Yeah, they were never free... especially those "high maintenance" ones.

2. It might be worth the 'going down with the ship'.......... just to be able to sit back and watch all the transgenders beat the snot out of the women for their place on the rescue boats
